Band 6.5 Essay

The bar graph represents a weekly sale of coffee items in two particular coffee shops in New York in 2015. It represents eight different items that are being sold in these two shops. They are Americanos, Cappuccinos, Decaf coffees, Flat whites, Espressos, Caramel lattes, Iced coffees, and Café lattes. Club Coffee had more items sold than Espresso Express. 

Espressos was equally sold while flat whites and caramel lattes was sold more in Espresso Express. Except these two, all other items were sold more in Cold Coffee. In general the highest sold item was café lattes in both the shops. Following that comes cappuccinos and americanos being sold more than 100 in Club Coffee and being sold more than 50 in Espresso Express respectively. 

Next to that, decaf coffees and iced coffees have a decent number of sales. All the rest of the items have low sales with caramel lattes being the least in Club Coffee and Espressos being low in the latter shop.

Band 7 Essay

The bar graph displays the most well-liked varieties of coffee offered by two New York coffee shops during a typical week in 2015. The graph displays the average sales of eight products from Club Coffee and Espresso Express, including iced coffees, Americanos, and espressos. 

Overall, it is evident that Club Coffee consistently has the most customers and outsells Espresso Express in six of the eight coffee categories. As a whole, weaker coffees like café lattes or cappuccinos were more popular than stronger coffees like espressos and flat whites. With an average of about 135 sold weekly at Club Coffee, café lattes were the most popular purchase. The next two most popular drinks were cappuccinos and americanos, each of which sold about 115 and 100 units, respectively. With about 75 of each sold on average each week, Club Coffee sold slightly more decaf coffees than iced coffees. Only 25 and 18 espressos and caramel lattes, respectively, were sold, which is low in popularity. With slightly more than 120 typical items sold per week, café lattes were also the most popular purchase at Espresso Express. 

Third place went to cappuccinos, with about 65 sales. With just over 60, caramel lattes came in second, selling three times as many as Club Coffee does. With 50 sales each, decaf coffees and flat whites tied for fifth place. Iced coffee came in second with about 45 sales per week. With about 25 sales, espressos were Espresso Express' least popular product.

In a typical week in 2015, two coffee shops in New York City sold the most popular varieties of coffee, as shown in the bar chart below. In Club Coffee and Espresso Express, the chart displays the average sales of eight different products. 

Overall, it is clear that Club Coffee consistently sells more coffee than Espresso Express, outselling it in six of the eight categories. Stronger coffee drinks like cappuccinos and espressos were generally less popular than café lattes or flat whites. Café lattes were the most popular purchase at Club Coffee, selling an average of 135 per week.
