Band 6 Answer

Fast food consumption among Australian teenagers between 1975 and 2000 is shown in the provided line graph. The graph shows that although the popularity of fish and chips gradually declined, hamburgers had a sharp increase in popularity among Australian youths. The graph shows that among Australian youths in 1975, fish and chips were extremely well-known.

Furthermore, it was consumed almost 100 times a year at the time. Fish and chips' appeal gradually declined after that, starting in 1980. In contrast to the high proportion of Australian teenagers who eat pizza and hamburgers. The proportion of young people who consume fish and chips dropped between 1980 and 1985. In 1985, it marginally grew once more. Then, between 1985 and 2000, there was a dramatic decline in the number of times this fast food was consumed annually, falling to little under 40. On the other hand, it seems from the chart that the appeal of hamburgers and pizza increased significantly. Nevertheless, from 1995 to 2000, pizza was consistently in demand and was consumed close to 85 times annually. On the other hand, the rate of hamburger consumption rose exponentially between 1985 and 2000, with an annual consumption rate of just over 100 times.

Band 6.5 Answer

Between 1975 and 2000, a period of 25 years, the presented line graph shows the fast food intake of Australian teenagers. Here, fish and chips, which were consumed in large quantities in 1975, were consistently outpaced by pizza and hamburger consumption. Although the ratio progressively started to decline after that.

First, the proportion of hamburgers and pizza in 1975 was only 5 times, indicating that teens' consumption of those foods was lower than that of fish and chips. It was devoured by Australian teenagers in significant proportion (approximately 100 times). Following that, between 1980 and 1985, the proportion of Australian youths who eat fish and chips declined. Especially in comparison to the proportion who eat pizza and hamburgers, which is high. On the other side, pizza and hamburgers became popular and their consumption percentages increased to the highest level in Australian teenagers after 1985. In contrast, the proportion of fish and chips consumption among teenagers in Australia decreases steadily. Finally, it can be said that Australian teenagers gave hamburgers a high ranking in terms of consumption when compared to other foods. In addition, the hamburger graph line is situated directly above the remaining lines. We can infer from this that Australian youths were more interested in fish and chips than other teenagers. After a few years, though, youngsters start to prefer hamburgers above other foods, including pizza. The graph lines provide a clear justification for this.

Band 7 Answer

Information regarding the variation in adult fast food consumption of three types among Australians from 1975 to 2000 is provided by the line graph. Overall, it is evident that the consumption of pizza and hamburgers increased. The consumption of fish and chips did, however, decline throughout the entire time frame.

To start, Pizza and hamburger consumption nearly reached five times annually in 1975. Consumption of hamburgers climbed significantly between 1975 and 1985, peaking at just over 80 times annually. It then continued to rise until 1995, when it hit a high of 100 times, after which it stayed stable for the remainder of the period. In a manner similar to that, pizza consumption increased gradually between 1975 and 1995. It reached an 85-year high, before remaining stable for the subsequent five years. In comparison, the consumption of fish and chips started off at 100 times in 1975 and then began to fluctuate slightly. From 1985 to 2000, it fell significantly before finishing at just under 40. When contrasted to other foods, hamburgers had a high consumption rating from Australian youths. Along with that, the hamburger graph line is directly above the other lines. This suggests that compared to other teenagers, Australian teenagers were more interested in fish and chips. But after a while, kids begin to favour hamburgers over other dishes, including pizza.
