Band 6 IELTS Answer

The charts provided compare the educational degrees of residents in Glasgow, Scotland in 2010 by age group and gender. Overall, it is clear that educational levels increase with age, and there are only minor differences between men and women in terms of academic qualifications.

Over 70% of Glasgow residents aged 16 to 50 have gained a university degree, but this figure drops steadily to just 50% in the fourth age group and 25% in those over 75 years old. In contrast, the rate of residents with no educational degree increases dramatically from only 9% in the first three age groups to nearly 75% in the final age group. The rate of residents who have attained a school certificate remains relatively stable at around 20% in the first four age groups, but then takes a steep decline to only 3% in those over 75 years old.

In terms of the pie chart, the proportion of men and women who have attained a school certificate is the same at around 33%. However, the proportion of Glasgow men with tertiary education is slightly higher than for women, while the trend for those with no qualifications is the reverse. In summary, the data suggests that educational levels in Glasgow are closely tied to age, with older residents having lower levels of education and fewer qualifications.

Band 6.5 IELTS Answer

The data presented in the bar chart and pie charts shos the percentage of people in glasgow who had three different levels of education in the year 2010. The data is divided into five age groups in the bar chart and by gender in the pie charts.

Overall, the majority of poeple with university educatrion were in the younger age groups. In contrast, the oldest age grouphad the most people without any qualifications, The proportion of men and women in each level of education was around one third. It was with only a slight difference of 3% in university graduates as well as those without educational qualifications.

In the younger three age groups, the percentage of people with university education was as high as 76%. However, this figure dropped to 50% in those aged to 50 to 75 and a mere 25% in those over 75. This trend was reversed in those with no qualifications, with 9% of younger people having no qualifications, rising to 72% in the oldest age group.

The figure for those with school education was relatively constant at around 20%, but as low as 3% in the over 75s. The data shows that the majority of people with university education were in the younger age groups, while the oldest age group had the most people without any qualifications. Band 7 IELTS Answer

The bar chart and pie chart provided illustrate the percentage of education levels by genders and age range in Glasgow, Scotland in 2010. The education levels shown include University Degree, School Certificate, and No Qualification.

Looking at the bar chart, it is clear that the University Degree education level has the largest proportion of individuals in the five age groups shown. Specifically, the 21 to 35 age range has the highest percentage of individuals with a University Degree at 76%. Additionally, there is a small difference between the percentage of individuals with a School Certificate and No Qualification in the over 75 age range, with slightly more individuals without a certificated than with a diploma in school (72% and 3% respectively).

The School Certificate education level has slightly fluctuating percentages in the five age ranges shown, ranging from 15% to 20%. Additionally, there is a corresponding percentage of both genders (33%) with this education level. On the other hand, the No Qualification education level has a consistent percentage of 9% in the aged 16 to 50 range.

In the pie chart, we can see that No Qualification has the highest percentage of educational certification among all genders and age ranges. Overall, it is clear that the University Degree education level is the most prevalent among the five age groups shown, with the 21 to 35 age range having the highest percentage of individuals with this level of education.
