Band 7 IELTS Answer

The pie chart and bar graph show how much time individuals in the UK devote to managing their health and wellbeing. The pie chart breaks down data by activity, while the bar chart breaks it down by age group and gender.

The pie chart portrays just a small percentage of people's overall time. It depicts three and four percent, respectively, which is spent working out or engaging in other activities linked to their health and fitness. Sleeping accounts for 32% of the remaining time, while the remaining time is split between different activities.

The bar graph, on the other hand, demonstrates how time spent on activities like exercise and food preparation differs significantly by demography. Men spend about 10 hours more per week on health and wellness than women do up to the age of 24, but this difference reverses between the ages of 25 and 54. With an average of 12.5 hours per week, men and women between the ages of 18 and 24 devote the most time to their health and wellness. Somewhat more than people between the ages of 25 and 39. The average amount of time spent on health and wellness by people in the 40 to 54 age range is 9 units. Thus, this is exactly the same as the average for both the youngest and oldest age groups.

When the numbers are broken down, it becomes clear that British residents spend more than half of their time working, learning, and socialising. Only 4% and 3% of their time, respectively, is allocated to working out and other fitness-related activities, according to the research. Additionally, respondents to the study stated that they spend the remaining 32% of their weekly time sleeping.

The former are more active up to the age of 24 if the amount of hours men and women spend engaging in healthful activities is taken into account individually. Male teenagers under the age of 18 exercise and prepare meals for two hours longer than female teenagers. Males between the ages of 18 and 24 also spend an hour longer exercising than females do. Overall, it appears that British citizens do not devote much effort to maintaining their health. Since having healthy habits do not take up a sizable portion of their schedules. Men also spend more attention on their health throughout the first few years of life. a pattern that eventually becomes reversed.

Band 6.5 IELTS Answer
