As per observation from the above bar graph, romantic books have always acquired the preference of the readers. All the five years show high rates of romantic books sales. The second most sold are mystery books and novels. People love the fictional world as it acts like an escape from reality.

Approximately 60 thousand mystery books were sold in 2006, as opposed to approximately 80 thousand romance books. Approximately 80 thousand dollars from mysteries and close to 120 thousand dollars from romance represented the two genres' peak earnings in 2007.

Mystery and romance book sales plunged sharply in 2008 to $55,000 and $65,000, accordingly, but gradually increased over the following two years.

In four years, sales of the other three genres of literature totaled less than $40,000.00. In 2007, sales of young adult as well as classics books totaled roughly $30,000, compared to $20,000 for sci-fi and fantasy books. Young adult as well as classic book sales generated about the same amount of money in 2009, but sci-fi but also fantasy book sales were at their lowest.

Beginning around $80,000 in 2006, romance books went on to sell for a stunning $110,000 in 2007. The following year, the sales reasonably decreased, and by 2010, they were between $70,000 and just exceeding the $80,000 mark in the graph. The second-highest selling book category was mystery novels. Which reached an all-time maximum of $80,000 in 2007 before settling between $60,000 and $45,000 for the subsequent years.

Young adult books consistently brought in up to $30,000 per year. The best year for classics sales was 2007 ($25,000), and the worst was 2010 (about $10,000). Classics sold for a standard value of around $19,000 over all the years. Sci-fi as well as fantasy books, which only hit a peak sales of $20,000 in 2007, were the least popular novels overall.
