The graph depicts the amount of money spent by visitors from five different nations when visiting New Zealand between 1996 and 2014. Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and China are the five countries being compared.

Although there were some variations along the way, it is obvious that the amount of money spent in New Zealand by tourists. Virtually all of the identified nations rose from 1996 to 2014.

Australians spent the most in 1996, at NZ$1,000 per person, followed by visitors. They were from the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, and, finally, China, at NZ$100 each visitor. During the 18-year period, most nations saw an increase in tourist spending. It peaked at different times in time for different countries and subsequently dropped. Australia's spending peaked at NZ$2,500 in 2006, while the United States hit a high of NZ$1,700 in 2010. China had the lowest high of any country (NZ$500) in 2004.
