Topic: The advantages of robots doing the basic serving functions in the entertainment, leisure and retail sectors of the economy outweigh the disadvantages.

To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Robots are now a significant part of life thanks to technological advancement, which has divided the public's opinion. Although the improvement significantly helps the economy, I think there are certain negative effects that could offset them.

As we have seen, the productivity and perfection of robot technologies are gradually replacing those of employees.

Robots are likely to lead to widespread unemployment if they entirely replace human workers in businesses. Robots, however, are only capable of performing the tasks for which they have been trained, so when something goes wrong, the corporation will suffer a loss. Additionally, they are capable of performing monotonous jobs for extended periods of time, but unlike humans, they do not get easier with experience.

On the surface, it is simple to understand why numerous businesses are resorting to robots. With today's technology, much of the work that humans perform can be carried out by machines. The fact that robots do not require pay, do not get ill. And not engaging in collective bargaining makes them a better economic prospect from the viewpoint of the employer.

Robotics are undeniably becoming more prevalent in all facets of life. Including leisure pursuits, domestic chores, healthcare, manufacturing, and the military, not to mention banking and hotels.

Robots might help people with their daily tasks like cooking or doing the laundry, giving them more time for meaningful and fun pursuits. Consequently, if automated gadgets are abused, they will be a danger to humans. They can encourage people to adopt sedentary lifestyles, which can quickly increase the risk of health problems, with obesity topping the list. In addition, robots will eventually outnumber humans, forcing them to become independent of technology.

In conclusion, even if robot technologies are undeniably advantageous to individuals at various periods of life. Ranging from prosperity to flexibility, I suspect that this breakthrough would do more harm than good.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

We are currently seeing the fourth industrial revolution, during which businesses like retail are also replacing workers with robots. While there are certain advantages for employers, there are also some negative effects on the economy.

One the one extreme, it is obvious that using robots would have a number of benefits.

The primary benefit of using robots in the workplace is their lower cost than people. Robots are currently becoming more affordable. Although we cannot directly compare human talents to those of robots, robotic abilities are now expanding swiftly.

Robots may undertake any type of research linked to any subject, for instance, if you offer an essay writing business. Second, robots can operate in any environment, including space, the ocean, intense heat, wind, and cold. It can be applied everywhere where maintaining human safety is a top priority. The fact that robots never get fatigued and can essentially work on specific activities around-the-clock is their best quality. To be more precise, the human brain becomes exhausted if it is used repeatedly. Whereas robots never grow bored doing what they are taught to do and are capable of doing particular jobs without making mistakes.

Building autos using robots is one thing. It is quite different when robots are used in service-related sectors. While it is possible to claim that robots might do fundamental service tasks. Like ticket sales or even food and beverage preparation. Those aren't the only service tasks carried out by employees in the entertainment, leisure, and retail industries. Robotics use, however, is not always advantageous. To take into account there are various drawbacks. First off, while robots are improving company productivity, they are also raising the unemployment rate. In many companies and manufacturing plants, robots have replaced the need for human labor. Second, installing robots in businesses still needs manual labor to operate them, and training staff members to use the robots comes at a price.

As a whole, the economy can gain greatly from robots, but since they are merely machines, we shouldn't place too much reliance on them.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Robots undertaking human jobs are showing up in modern contexts more and more frequently. Many people believe that there are more benefits than drawbacks. However, for the following reasons, I only partially agree with this notion.

Using robots rather than people in amusement parks or retail establishments may. Undoubtedly, reduce time and improve reliability for both customers as well as store owners.

However, purchasing a robot could be quite expensive, and the store owner will also need to spend a lot of money maintaining the robot's quality. Whether it be for cleaning or charging, let alone in the event that the robot breaks down.

Furthermore, robots are limited to what has been programmed into them; they are not creative. Customers would therefore experience inconvenience if they wanted to make changes to their orders or search for specific items in stores.

Additionally, since the robots seldom ever have the ability to converse with customers, complaints made by customers might not be resolved by them. Robots are commonplace in industries because businesses need to produce more products more quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, this cutting-edge technology can do labor-intensive jobs safely. Second, robots can assist people with routine chores like cooking and cleaning, freeing up more time for them to engage in meaningful and fun activities. To be more precise, individuals can take use of their leisure time to engage in hobbies.

Lastly but not least, using robots in place of people may have negative effects in the future. Unemployment is one of them. Since the majority of these employees have poor levels of education and may have a difficult time finding new employment. There would likely be a greater number of individuals without jobs, which could lead to poverty and sometimes even social ills.

In conclusion, even utilizing robots for some specific tasks improves human lives. Such benefits are still outweighed by the negative effects that they may have in the future.
