Band 8 IELTS Essay

Technology is developing quicker than ever before, and everyone can now access it. Further the affordability of it has increased. As a result, many workers began working from home, and many pupils chose to attend homeschooling. Although there are advantages and disadvantages to this medium, I think the latter trumps the former, and this article will go into more detail on this.

There are several setbacks to this trend. First, there is a dearth of socialisation and communication. Many individuals find it challenging to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time without speaking to their friends or coworkers in person. Even though there are several platforms, such Teams, Zoom, and Skype, where they may communicate through video conferences. However, it might not be as valuable as direct contact. For instance, a recent study by "Top Hat" highlighted several factors. It found that more than 85% of students stated they missed the social connection with other students and face-to-face time with their professors.

Second, productivity is impacted by distractions and a poor work or study environment. Visitors and family members could cause a number of problems. The ability to combine work and life is extremely difficult, especially for working mothers. Additionally, it causes a great deal of health problems. Since they frequently work nonstop for extended periods of time without taking breaks, sometimes even forgetting to eat.

Although this strategy has certain benefits as well. Travel time may be cut down. This important time may be used for other things, such as getting more sleep, spending time with family, or having a nutritious breakfast.

To sum up, despite the fact that this development has become increasingly well-liked among the workforce. Further, young people, it has also resulted in a lot of issues that are bad for productivity.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

It has become simpler to work and study from home because of the technology's quick advancements. These, in my opinion, have positive effects on our life, however relying entirely on them could have a negative outcome.

One benefit of technology use is that it raises people's living standards in a variety of ways. People's time has been saved, for instance, and the environment has improved. Less travel is required while studying or working online, improving the purity of the air. As a result, the ecosystem gains from it. As an illustration, the corona virus has caused a rise in online learning, which has decreased air pollution. Additionally, one of the largest benefits of sophisticated technology is the reduction in time spent travelling to work or school. In other words, students and employees can begin studying or working as soon as they are awake, regardless of whether they awaken early or late in the morning. Going to a workplace or a school, on the other hand, needed a lot of planning and time. It is unquestionably advantageous to have the possibility to reduce pollution and save time.

But there will always be a downside to technology. Its effects on health are currently a major worry. People become less physically active when they work or study at home, which is bad for their health. As a result, more people than in the past when the usage of these devices was uncommon are experiencing health issues. Another drawback is that the economy suffers greatly when fewer people are out and about. The transport industry will be the most adversely impacted. Businesses that serve travellers, such as restaurants and stores, also suffer.

In conclusion, while working or learning online has many advantages for us, it may also be bad for our health if it causes us to become sedentary. Additionally, it could have an impact on many economic sectors that rely on commuters.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

One cannot argue against the reality that in today's society, international networking has given everyone access to a more active environment. By everyone, I mean practically everyone from all walks of life, from the young to the old. Around the world, adults are beginning to bring work from the office home, and kids are learning at home using a variety of online education platforms. One key reason for this is that technology is accessible and affordable. This is a good thing, in my opinion, as working from home or taking classes at home protects us from a lot of bullying.

First off, using technology to establish a productive study space or a professional workspace at home is the best thing. This is so because it offers so many advantages. Imagine needing to wake up every day at 6 am to prepare for work and waste a lot of time travelling to the office. We may quickly begin working from home by just opening the gadgets thanks to technology. In addition to saving you time, doing so teaches you how to live independently and industriously.

On the other hand, working or studying at home might be challenging. Since there are many things we may access when studying or working, it is easy for us to lose focus on what we are meant to be doing. For instance, you could grow tired when studying at home and wish to take a little break, which could cause you to fall asleep during an online course.

In conclusion, working from home or studying from home offers both advantages and disadvantages. But the advantages seem to outweigh the disadvantages. Being able to work or study from home saves us time and energy, and it also teaches us to be independent and diligent.
