IIT Tirupati offers a Master in Public Policy Program to fulfill India's growing demand for policy professionals and to widen the intellectual landscape at IIT Tirupati. This course is offered under the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and the current student intake of this course is 20. Ques. Can working professionals pursue the MPP course offered by IIT Tirupati?
Ans. Working professionals can apply to the MPP program through Self-Finance. Please keep in mind that coursework is required for the first year. All students are required to commit to the program full-time.
Ques. What is the procedure for relieving the students from the MPP program at IIT Tirupati?
Ans. A student has to earn not less than 12 credits in the first semester, 30 credits at the end of the second semester, and 40 credits at the end of the third semester. If a student fails to earn the required minimum credits in any particular semester, he/she will be relieved from the program at the end of the semester.
Ques. Can a student be temporarily withdrawn from the MPP Programme at IIT Tirupati?
Ans. A student may be permitted by the Dean of Academic Affairs to withdraw from the program for a semester or longer for reasons of ill health or other valid grounds. Normally a student will be permitted to discontinue from the program only for a maximum continuous period of two semesters.
Ques. Who is eligible for the MPP Program at IIT Tirupati?
Ans. The MPP program will be open to all Fellowship Awardee candidates, Self Financed candidates and Sponsored candidates, and In-service Candidates. Candidates sponsored by the Government/ All India Services, Central/State Civil Services or equivalent, Public Sector Undertakings, Corporate Industries, and Non-Government Organizations are also eligible to apply. In-service candidates, working in Corporate/Government/Semi-Government /Non-government Organizations, public sector organisations or equivalent, must ensure that their organization permits them to undertake the requisite coursework and projects for the duration of the MPP program.
Ques. Are Foreign Nationals Eligible for the MPP Program at IIT Tirupati?
Ans. Yes, Candidates with valid scores of TOEFL/IELTS or equivalent will also be considered eligible for IIT Tirupati MPP admission. Candidates who received a degree from India are also eligible to apply. Candidates whose applications are received through the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Government of India are also eligible to apply.

Most of the newly constructed IITs suffer from the same problems compared to the old ones. They include lack of infrastructure, unchartered territory, etc. If you have to choose, go by branch and not by the IIT brand name. You can opt for other colleges like BITS Pilani, NIT Trichy/Warangal as they will provide much better opportunities, considering placements.

If you want to study CSE among these two top colleges, it won't require comparison. Both are doing well and have equally good placements, average packages, and campus life. So, for other branches, IIT Bhilai will be a good choice because practicals and research work are better at IIT Bhilai.
Both CSE in Vasavi engineering college and chemical engineering in IIT Tirupati are very good courses to pursue, but these both streams are very different from each other and have different applications.

Both IIT Jodhpur and IIT Tirupati are reputed institutes. However, IIT Jodhpur is a second-generation IIT whereas IIT Tirupati is a third-generation IIT and has a long way to go to be at par with IIT Jodhpur.
Based on what I heard from my friends at IIT Jodhpur, I can say it has a terrific campus. It is the first fully planned technical campus with unique Incubation and Technology Park. IIT Jodhpur is making good advances in its placement and research work. Students at the institute get placed in core and non-core companies. Many alumni of the institute are also pursuing their studies in foreign universities.
