Both IIT Jodhpur and IIT Tirupati are reputed institutes. However, IIT Jodhpur is a second-generation IIT whereas IIT Tirupati is a third-generation IIT and has a long way to go to be at par with IIT Jodhpur.

Based on what I heard from my friends at IIT Jodhpur, I can say it has a terrific campus. It is the first fully planned technical campus with unique Incubation and Technology Park. IIT Jodhpur is making good advances in its placement and research work. Students at the institute get placed in core and non-core companies. Many alumni of the institute are also pursuing their studies in foreign universities.

If you have to choose between two IITs that are not old, it’s wise to choose the campus which is more developed and older. Outline your evaluation by comparing the faculty and research activities of both the IITs. Refer to your seniors there and friends to gain better knowledge. Hope this helps you in making a decision.
