NIT Tadepalligudem, also known as NIT Andhra, is a good institute for undergraduate programs in engineering. Being a newer NIT, there are some advantages and disadvantages of studying in the institute, and some of them are listed below in the key highlights. 

Key Highlights:

• NIT Andhra provides an excellent academic facility and curriculum to students. The reason behind such excellence is the fact that the institute is mentored by NIT Warangal.
• There is a difficulty in mess food at NIT Andhra. The quality of food provided in the hostels is not as good as that of other NITs, due to the absence of such good quality chefs as other NITs.
• The institute provides a good quality hostel in itself. Until a few years back, the institute had its operations on a temporary campus in Vasavi. It is now shifted to a permanent campus.
• Overall, NIT Andhra provides all facilities almost as good as other NITs for the overall development of students in the institute.

Therefore, NIT Andhra is a good institute, where students are quite sure to overcome the little difficulties in living inside the campus and be decent engineers after their graduation.

It is quite unreachable and good faculty is not available too for teaching on time. My sister studies at one of the old NITs which are much better as far as networking and alumni support are concerned; they are better than the NIT you're enquiring about. Its ranking is not clearly available on major ranking platforms also. 

Apart from this, you may want to note these down-

• Do not select any of the following NIT campuses: Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram, Puducherry, Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim.
• NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in September 2015 and hence, there's a dearth of good companies and excellent jobs.
• If you're moving there from another state, then I'd advise you to spare the effort because the crowd is not very bright.
• The central government has not made any provision for the allocation of funds for NIT Andhra Pradesh, but you'd find that huge sums have been invested in IIT Hyderabad and NIT Warangal.

However, NIT is still in its developing phase, it has the potential to become as successful as its other namesakes but being new, permanent faculty is still to be recruited, some equipment is missing too, but being dedicated you might excel even there.

Now, I hope you'd understand that there are much better institutes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana like JNTUH, JNTUK, IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad etc. Well-known companies would actually like to recruit from these institutions rather than from NIT AP.

IIIT Sri City is way too better when compared to NIT Andhra Pradesh considering the fact that both of these are fairly new institutions. IIIT Sri City is older when compared to NIT-AP. Academic facilities are amazing IIIT Sri City and there is an on-campus hostel facility too. I have a few friends at IIIT Sri City, and I have heard good things about the institute from them.

NIT Agartala ranks 75th for BTech by NIRF 2020. They have a strength of 3101 students and a strong and highly qualified faculty of 2450 members. 

NIT Mizoram has a faculty strength of 47 members and a student population of 406 students. It is an autonomous institute affiliated to AICTE.

NIT Nagaland is one of the 31 NITs in India. It has a faculty strength of 43 members, 27 of them being PhD holders.

NIT Manipur ranks 158th for BTech by NIRF 2020. It has a faculty strength of 72 members, 40 of them being PhD holders. 

Placements 

NIT Agartala - 

• 22 companies participated in the placement drive and 188 students were placed.
• The highest package offered to the students was 36 LPA.
• Other recruiters include Havells, Vedanta, Capgemini, Oracle, L&T, Future Group, etc.

NIT Mizoram

• They have a well structured placement cell.
• Pre-placement training is also conducted.
• The top recruiting companies include BEL, Infosys, IBM, BPCL and Capgemini.

NIT Nagaland

• 21 companies visited during the placement and made 69 offers.
• BTech EEE achieved the highest placement record with 26 students placed.
• The top recruiting companies include Bharat Electronics Limited, IBM, Johnson Controls, Mu Sigma, Polaris, Wipro, XL Dynamics, SAP, National Instruments, Mphasis, Infosys, Capital Via, etc.

NIT Manipur

• 20 companies visited and 50 students were placed.
• ZolaCode was the star recruiter.
• Other recruiters include Lamzing Infosystem, Microsoft, Virtusa, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Johnson Controls, BPCL, etc.

NIT Meghalaya is ranked 61st for BTech by NIRF 2020 and 42 for BTech by India Today 2020. NIT Meghalaya has a strength of 763 students and a highly qualified faculty with a majority of Ph.D holders. 

NIT Silchar is ranked 94 overall and 46 for BTech by NIRF 2020. It has a student population of 3001 students. They have a highly reputed faculty consisting of 209 members most of them being PhD holders.

NIT Sikkim is a well equipped and established autonomous university. It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh has a highly qualified faculty with 74 members and a student population of 670. The institute is approved by AICTE. It is ranked 200 for BTech by NIRF 2020.

Placements 

NIT Meghalaya 

• 103 companies participated in the placement program.
• The top recruiters include Bosch, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, HP, Havells, Capgemini, Polaris, Johnson Controls, Mphasis, Vedanta, SAP, Sapient, L&T, FIITJEE, etc.

NIT Silchar

• 461 students were eligible for the placement program.
• 397 students were placed.
• The top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Deloitte, Honeywell, Goldman Sachs, SAP, National Instruments, Vedanta, Wells Fargo, Reliance, ZS Associates, etc.

NIT Sikkim

• The median salary package offered is 6 LPA.
• The top recruiters include Capgemini, Wipro, Bosch, IBM, Infosys, DRDO, L&T, etc.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh 

• 21 companies visited.
• The CSE department has received the highest number of offers.
• The top recruiting companies include Wipro, IBM, TCS, Polaris, SmartTech, Zaloni, Nucleus Software, L&T, etc.

All the above mentioned NITs are equally good. Students can choose according to their preferences of location, affordability, faculty, environment and subject availability.
