I wanted to pursue some courses that had wide scope but that much core coding. So ECE was my good-to-go course. The faculty to students is such that 2 batches study in the same class throughout 1 and 2 years so it remains 40-50:1. Mostly they have faculty who have done MTech or PHD from IITs but not bachelor's, and some faculty are from international colleges also. The exams happen 3 times a semester. 1st after 1.5 months of start of semester, 2nd after 2.5 and 3rd after 3.5. the time after the start of the semester is the peaceful one other than its all hustle day and night. Too much academic pressure.

The faculty-to-student ratio is good single faculty takes about 32 40 students. The termly exams happen in three phases the first exam is going to happen just after one and half months of commenting the semester and exam is going to happen after the month and the last exam is going to happen after that month and so you won't even realize that how your 6 months went to away the difficulty

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University - [JIIT]: 24 answered questions

Ques
Which institute should I take for the CS branch, Jaypee, Noida, or NIT Goa?

● Top Answer By Jiya Chadda on 25 Aug 21

Ans
It depends upon what you think you will pursue as a career. Generally, there are transparent ways into monitoring whether or not an institute is really worthy, at least when considering the CSE department.  If you are more inclined towards pursuing a career as a computer programmer, then here are some websites you should definitely check out: CodeChef, HackerRank and CodeForces. These competitions apparently gauge the programming skills a person generally comes with, and whether or not they will be successful in relevant aspects.  These websites come with a neat leaderboard, including the ranks of coders assessed accordingly in terms of their programming skills.  The major upside of these sites is that the leaderboard arrives with the name of the institute these coders belong from.  This naturally helps to evaluate how reasonable an institute is.  You can moreover filter the leaderboards in accordance to the institute you prefer.  Categories CSE at Jaypee Noida CSE at NIT Goa Course Fee 9.22 lakh 5.38 akh Highest CTC 20 LPA 14 LPA Average CTC 10 LPA 7 PA Recruiting Companies Adobe, Accenture, Cognizant, KPMG, etc. Capgemini, Oracle, Wipro, IBM, etc. Therefore, these features go on to provide more compact comparisons among institutes and can possibly help you decide which institute is worthy. However, it is best to also research more about the prospects each institute shares; and how they are in terms of placement, faculty, etc.

Ques
Which is better for CSE: Jaypee Noida (sector-62) or UIET, Chandigarh (Panjab University)?

● Top Answer By Ajit Goyal on 20 Apr 23

Ans
If you're considering pursuing a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program in India, you might be interested in comparing the offerings of different institutions. If you're wondering which one of these options, Jaypee Noida (sector-62) or UIET, Chandigarh (Panjab University) might be better for you, here are some reasons why Jaypee Noida might be a good choice: Strong academics and facilities: One of the main advantages of the CSE program at Jaypee Noida is its academic quality. The program is known for its rigorous curriculum, experienced faculty, and modern infrastructure. You'll have access to well-equipped labs, libraries, and other resources that can enhance your learning experience. In addition, the faculty members are reputed in their respective fields and can provide you with valuable guidance and support throughout your academic journey. Location: Another advantage of Jaypee Noida is its location. The institute is situated in Noida, which is a part of the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. This means that you'll be in close proximity to the capital city of Delhi and other major cities in the region. This can provide you with a range of opportunities to explore and learn beyond the campus, such as internships, workshops, and industry visits. Good placements: One of the most important factors to consider when choosing a CSE program is the placement prospects. In this regard, Jaypee Noida is known for its good placement record. The institute has tie-ups with many reputed companies in the IT sector, which visit the campus for recruitment drives. If you perform well in the program and maintain a decent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), you'll have a good chance of getting placed in a reputed company with a decent package. It's important to note that a CGPA of above 7 is generally recommended for good placements, and anything above 7.5 can be considered excellent. Programming skills can be an advantage: If you have a strong foundation in programming, this can give you an edge in the placement process. The faculty members and the Head of Department (HOD) at Jaypee Noida are known to be supportive of talented students, and can help you connect with relevant companies for internships and placements. With their guidance and your skills, you may even land a placement in a high-paying startup or company. In conclusion, if you're looking for a CSE program in India that offers good academics, location, and placement prospects, Jaypee Noida could be a good choice. With its strong faculty, facilities, and industry connections, you can get a solid foundation for a career in the IT sector. However, as with any program, it's important to do your research, consider your own interests and strengths, and make an informed decision based on your individual needs and goals.

Ques
Which one is better - Thapar University (EIC) or JIIT Noida (CSE)?

● Top Answer By Saloni Mohan on 07 Aug 21

Ans
Thapar University in all aspects is a lot better than JIIT. But I am not quite aware of the EIC branch. You can interact with ex-students of the institute online, to get a better idea about the course. If you think it will be a better choice, go for it. According to placements, Thapar is much better than JIIT Noida. Most of the companies that participate in Thapar’s placement program are well reputed like Microsoft, Infosys, and many more. Thapar provides a better industrial exposure to their students. After graduating from Thapar you can opt for both government and private sectors. Categories  EIC at Thapar University CSE at JIIT Noida Course Fee 13.23 lakh 9.22 lakh Highest CTC 18 LPA 12-16 LPA Average CTC 6 LPA 4-5 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Tech Mahindra, Phillips, L&T, etc. Amazon, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, ZS Associates, etc. Thapar University will be a much better choice than JIIT, as it is popular among students and professionals as well. Any branch at Thapar will prove to be more valuable than CSE at JIIT Noida.

Ans
Both LNCT Bhopal and JIIT Noida are reputed institutes for engineering education in India. In terms of opportunity and placement, both institutes have their advantages and disadvantages. Here is a comparison of the two institutes based on various parameters: Reputation: Both LNCT Bhopal and JIIT Noida are well-reputed institutes for engineering education in India. However, JIIT Noida has a slightly better reputation in the industry and among recruiters. Course Curriculum: The course curriculum at both institutes is designed to provide a comprehensive education in engineering. However, JIIT Noida has a more updated and industry-relevant curriculum compared to LNCT Bhopal. Faculty: Both institutes have highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. However, JIIT Noida has a higher ratio of Ph.D. holders in its faculty. Infrastructure: Both institutes have good infrastructure and modern facilities, including labs, libraries, and sports facilities. However, JIIT Noida has a more modern and well-equipped campus compared to LNCT Bhopal. Placements: Both institutes have good placement records, with top companies visiting their campuses for recruitment. However, JIIT Noida has a slightly better placement record and a wider range of recruiters compared to LNCT Bhopal. Based on the above comparison, JIIT Noida would be a better choice in terms of opportunity and placement. However, it is important to note that the ultimate success in placements and career opportunities depends on individual skills, knowledge, and performance.

Ques
Which is best, ECE at Thapar University or CSE at Jaypee Noida?

● Top Answer By Shaguna Pandey on 12 Aug 21

Ans
CSE at JIIT is clearly better than ECE at Thapar. You must have a minimum JEE rank of 51,000 to get CSE at JIIT Noida.  There are no state quota, caste quota, or NRI quota at JIIT but Thapar offers a 50% quota for Punjab state students. This results in a superior quality of students at JIIT Noida than Thapar. Due to quotas and an increase in the number of seats, anyone can get admission at Thapar University. If a student has a 300,000 rank in JEE Main, he will not be able to gain a seat anywhere, but if he is from Punjab, he may be able to secure a place in Electrical Engineering in Thapar. This explains how Thapar's situation has deteriorated. JIIT will offer you great exposure which is actually required in CSE with regular industrial visits. CSE has more scope in terms of placements than ECE.

Ques
Which is the best for Civil Engineering, Thapar University or CSE in Jaypee Noida?

● Top Answer By Ajit Goyal on 12 Aug 21

Ans
It would be advisable to choose the branch as per your interest first. And then if you figure out that you have an interest in civil engineering, you should go to Thapar. On the other hand, if you have an interest in computer science then you should go to Jaypee Noida.  Thapar University and Jaypee Noida are both good.  The main thing to be concerned about is your interest in the stream.  Both the colleges are very reputed but Thapar has a slight edge over Jaypee.  The placement record for Jaypee for the past year has not been as good as compared to the previous year‘s records.  But if you compare Thapar’s civil and Jaypee’s CS, then you should opt for CS at Jaypee. H Category Civil Engineering at Thapar University CSE at Jaypee Noida Total Fee INR 66,000 INR 2,62,750 Companies Visited Wipro, Adobe, Samsung, Ambuja Cement, etc. Adobe, Cisco, Amazon, Capgemini, etc. Highest Package 24 LPA 28 LPA Average Package 8-10 LPA 12 LPA Category Civil Engineering at Thapar University CSE at Jaypee Noida Total Fee INR 66,000 INR 2,62,750 Companies Visited Wipro, Adobe, Samsung, Ambuja Cement, etc. Adobe, Cisco, Amazon, Capgemini, etc. Highest Package 24 LPA 28 LPA Average Package 8-10 LPA 12 LPA Being a student of Jaypee myself, I can say that Thapar’s placement records are better, especially recently.

Ques
Should I take electronics and communication at JIIT Noida or BIET Jhansi?

● Top Answer By Sudeshna Sengupta on 21 Apr 21

Ans
Many of the students do not find ECE as an interesting branch due to the following reason: It is often seen that India has less scope in ECE among all the other engineering branches. In the private sector, the value of CS/IT is more than ECE. They also have better packages than ECE. If the student wants to go for PSU, there is greater scope in Mechanical or Electrical. If the student wants to go for engineering services, Civil is a better option. And if the student wants to go for higher education, any branch can be taken as per their choice. Now, coming back to the choice between the two colleges, we know: JIIT Noida will help the student land a job after 4 years of engineering in ECE or any other branch in any MNC offering packages between 4-4.5 LPA. If the student wants to secure a big position in any Electronics company, then they will be in the top position among the ECE graduates. Very few core ECE companies visit the campus for recruitments and select a very less number of students. However, the students can also try for off-campus placements. The faculties at both institutes are good. If the student wants to secure good, any college between the two can be chosen but the student will have to work hard. A lot of effort will be needed in ECE organizations.

Ques
Which is better, IET Lucknow or Jaypee Noida sector 62 in terms of placement and college life?

● Top Answer By Sathi Talukder on 04 Aug 21

Ans
Students who join IET Lucknow tend to have higher ranks in JEE (Mains) than JIIT Noida. But JIIT Noida is mostly preferred by students, here’s why: Location Due to its location, JIIT Noida is mostly preferred. Being closer to Delhi, it has access to nearby corporate houses and IT firms. Students get to attend seminars and industry visits quite often. Quality of Education The faculty is much better at JIIT Noida. Being a private institution, it provides personality development and other exposures. Students tend to follow a routine and are disciplined. Placements JIIT Noida is better than IET Lucknow in placements for sure. The CSE department is the best among others. The highest and the second-highest salary offered at JIIT Noida to the batch of 2016-20 are INR 43.17 LPA by Adobe and INR 34 LPA by DE Shaw. CSE is also the best branch at IET Lucknow. Students get placement offers from Microsoft with a salary of INR 37 LPA. However, on average it is decent. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a regular recruiter at IET Lucknow for ECE students. Being a government-run college, IET has far fewer restrictions than JIIT Noida which appeals to many students. But it lacks in personality development and other exposures which you will get at JIIT Noida. Now that you have known about both the colleges, I think you can clearly understand yourself and make a choice according to what you need.

Ques
Which college is better for a B.Tech in CSE, JIIT Noida (sector 128) or Sharda University?

● Top Answer By Karuna Taneja on 28 Jun 21

Ans
Pursuing B.Tech from a renowned college is important as it makes or breaks your career. Choosing one among the above will be a good option as all are good in curriculum and other factors. Although I don’t know much about it I can share with you some details as one of my friends did pursue his B.Tech from Sharda University. He told me that, Sharda University is better for B.Tech in CSE. It has skilled, well-trained, and experienced faculties. Moreover, Sharda University is considered t be one of the best Universities in Delhi-NCR. Again, the placement at Sharda University for Computer Science Engineering is quite good. Many companies such as IBM, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Technologies, Infosys, etc come for recruitment. Placement with salary ranging from 3LPA to 17 LPA has been given to B.Tech CSE Undergraduate Students. Other than this, the infrastructure of Sharda University is quite good. It has a proper lab with various advanced technologies.
