Remarks:

There is an exam called JEE which I took to get admission. the cut-off was around 74 percentile to clear the exam but to get admission in this college with the branch Electronics and Communication, one needs to score above 95 percentile, that too if you have the possibility to get any kind of quota else you need to score at least 98 or above to get a good branch in a good college. After the results, there happens counselling where the person prioritizes their college along with the branch he/she wants. Based on the score, there will be a shortlisting in every round you get a college, it might change in rounds or remain the same. This exam is organised by Josaa, on their website the application form, fees and dates are available.

Formal eligibility is 12th passed with 75% but for taking admission you have to score 97 percentile in Jee mains if you are a general candidate like me. The application form you can find on the website of JEE Mains. The admission process is very time-consuming, you have to come to the college for document approval so its needs to be done digitally.

Admission was offered through JOSAA counseling considering JEE mains score. You can visit jeemain.nta.ac.in to register for the 2023 session. Application fees for males are 1000 and for females 800. You can apply for the next JEE mains session from Feb 14 to March 12, 2023. The admission process is simple but I don't like the shift system because it makes the whole process luck based.

Ques
Which one should I choose, NIT Kurukshetra or NIT Bhopal or IIIT Allahabad for an M.Tech in CSE?

● Top Answer By Sritama Ray on 29 Jun 21

Ans
Have known some people who have pursued M.Tech in CSE from NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Bhopal, and IIIT Allahabad. I can say that you can opt for IIIT Allahabad for CSE. Do not choose NIT Kurukshetra. At NIT Kurukshetra the examination cell is not good and placements are average. IIIT Allahabad is better in terms of placements, faculty, exposure, etc. At IIIT Allahabad, top companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Byju’s, Oracle, JP Morgan, TCS, IBM, Amazon, Jaro Education, etc. take part in their placement program. They also have an active coding culture. Particulars NIT Kurukshetra NIT Bhopal IIIT Allahabad Total fees 1.89 Lakhs 1.78 Lakhs 2.6- 6.65 Lakhs Placement percentage 85% 82% 100% Highest salary 28 LPA 22 LPA 1.5 CPA Median salary 6.66 LPA 5.17 LPA 10.4 LPA Average salary 7.4 LPA 8 LPA 12 LPA IIIT Allahabad is a good choice for M.Tech in CSE. You can also go for NIT Bhopal which has a good placement record. But lacks a good teaching-learning process. So, It is suggested you go for IIIT Allahabad, as it will be the best option for you.

Ques
Which is beter NIT Kurukshetra or MNIT Jaipur?

● Top Answer By Suraj Kumar on 19 Apr 21

Ans
The preferred choice between the NIT Kurukshetra and MNIT Jaipur depends upon various factors such as faculty, fee, placement, diversity, ranking, research opportunities, infrastructure, etc. Every college is holding a specialty in a distinct branch. Below given are some factors that can assist you in landing at the right decision. Ranking: According to the NIRF Ranking of Engineering 2020, the ranks secured by the two institutes are - NIT Kurukshetra - 40 and MNIT Jaipur - 35. Fees:The fee for four years of engineering at NIT Kurukshetra is 2.27 Lakhs whereas for MNIT Jaipur, it is INR 3.79 Lakhs Placement Particulars NIT Kurukshetra MNIT Jaipur Average CTC INR 10.91 LPA INR 8.03 LPA Highest CTC INR 43.31 LPA INR 38 LPA No. of Eligible Students 640 497 No. of Students placed 423 402 Other Factors NIT Kurukshetra is well-known for its CSE, IT, and Mechanical branch. NIT Kurukshetra awards scholarships to meritorious students whereas, MNIT Jaipur gives scholarships to deserving students (economically weak). The campus infrastructure of MNIT is beautiful, but the faculty of NIT-K is better at imparting knowledge to students. In the long run, it does not matter which college you have studied at because both the colleges leave you at a similar place. It is wrong to look only for the cut-off of MNIT Jaipur and conclude that it is better. Most of the students are from Kota, which raises their home state cut-off, eventually raising the overall cut-off.

Ques
Which is better: IIT Jodhpur electrical or NIT Kurukshetra CSE?

● Top Answer By Vineet Chopra on 19 Apr 21

Ans
The two things that help you choose between new IITs and old NITs (or top NITs) are the Tag Value and the Experience. Better Choice If you like to have a tag of IIT, then choosing IIT Jodhpur is a better option. But if you are comfortable with a good branch in top NITs, then NIT KKR is a better option for the long run, even though you have the option of IIT in your hand. The reason for choosing old NIT over new IIT is that the old NIT will have a well-established alumni base. Even the professors are skilled. Features of the institutes The placements of NIT KKR for CSE are excellent. The highest package of INR 43.31 LPA in NIT KKR went for CSE branch. Even the placement percentage are: Institute Branch Percentage Fees NIT KKR CSE 100% INR 2.27 Lakhs IIT Jodhpur Electrical 84% INR 2.82 Lakhs Overall, the choice depends upon the above-mentioned factors and the branch in which you are interested. In NIT KKR, there is a competitive environment in terms of study. CSE branch is the best to be pursued from NIT Kurukshetra.

Ques
Which is better: IIEST Shibpur CSE or NIT Kurukshetra IT?

● Top Answer By Abhijit Pal on 29 May 21

Ans
Being a former student of NIT Kurukshetra, my friend suggested me to opt for IT over CSE at IIEST Shibpur.  Category IIEST Shibpur NIT Kurukshetra Total Fee 5.36 Lakhs 5.80 Lakhs Companies Visited Barclays, Aditya Birla, Bajaj, etc. Amazon, ICICI, Honeywell Highest Package 39 LPA 43.31 LPA Average Package 15 LPA 10 LPA At NIT Kurukshetra you will be able to learn a lot more. Being a new institute it offers a fresh view for the students. Also, they have a more modern approach, when it comes to academics.  The faculty is well educated and cooperative. In NIT Kurukshetra, CS and IT students are placed in top Tech Product-based companies like Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, Oracle, and 1 or 2 students in Google as well. It might not have good enough facilities, but it is also not bad either. Therefore, it can be concluded that NIT Kurukshetra has a lot to offer and if a student shows real interest and passion towards the course, they would surely be successful in their life.

Ques
Should I go for IIIT Allahabad even if I have rank enough to get CS in NIT-K, NIT-W, and NIT-T?

● Top Answer By Shruti Sikhawat on 24 Mar 21

Ans
The most practical thing to do here would be to begin with taking a look at the syllabus of both these mentioned programs. You need to be absolutely clear about whether you wish to study for the next 4 years of your life and maybe also be able to develop a career in the same field. Interest and passion are mandatory to be able to sustain in any field of engineering for a very long period of time. Now as far as my personal opinion goes, since two of my brothers have completed their engineering from IIIT Allahabad, I strongly believe that IIITA is a notch better than the others. Although the syllabus of CSE and IT is more or less the same, the overall academic environment of IIITA is better suited for coding when compared to the other NITs. There are a number of competitive programming websites available online where you will find more students of IIIT A placed at higher ranks than NITs. There is a process of development, evolvement and growth as a programmer in IIITA for the students. It is known to all that India’s best coder Suryanarayana is also from IIIT A. Another reason why IIITA is a popular option for many aspiring coders is because unlike other colleges, it offers core subjects from the first years itself. The placement scenario is also far accomplished of IIIT Allahabad.

Ques
Which one is better if the money factor is excluded, NIT Kurukshetra Electrical or BITS Goa EEE?

● Top Answer By Mayank Sharma on 24 Aug 21

Ans
The faculty members of the EEE department at BITS Goa are not good, except for a few of them.  According to the professors, the only way to answer the questions is to attend their lectures and not understand the concepts. The average scores and grades are very low. The average of a class usually is C in a test or marks like 15 out of 75. BITS has a higher brand value than any NIT in India. You can clear your concepts on your own. You can also learn from the knowledgeable professors of the EEE department. If you maintain a CGPA of 8 or above, especially in the EEE department, you can easily get an internship with the help of a practice school program. These factors also help you if you opt to study further in any part of the world, or if you prefer to do a job. However, placements at NIT Trichy are better. But, if you have the required skills, you will get good opportunities to land up in a good job position. The average CTC offered to the students is 5 LPA.  You will easily get into a good institution for higher studies or any good company for a job, even if you do not pay much attention to the lectures at BITSG. All you need to do is, have some good internship experience, be on good terms with few faculties of the EEE department, and get required recommendation letters.
