Course Description

Jamia Millia Islamia MA admission 2023 is ongoing. The university has released the JMI entrance test for various MA programs. Jamia MA is a 2-year, full-time program. The institute offers MA across 35 specializations. The final merit list for admission to the MA program at JMI is created based on the applicant's performance in the entrance exam, the availability of seats, and relaxation criteria. Jamia MA Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Students with a PG diploma in Human Rights and Duties Education will be given priority for Human Rights & Duties Education.
BA/ BSc/ BCom or BA (Hons)/ BSc (Hons)/ BCom (Hons) under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% aggregate for Development Extension.
A bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 55 percent is required for International Studies: Arab-Islamic Culture.
A bachelor's or master's degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Law with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate upon graduation for International Relations-West Asian Studies.

Jamia MA Admission Criteria

MA courses are available in 35 specializations at the university. It is a two-year program to which candidates are admitted based on their performance in the JMI Entrance Exam. The final merit list is compiled using the candidate's performance in the entrance exam, as well as JMI's seat reservation and relaxation criteria. Admission to MA Sanskrit, MA educational planning and administration, and MA Persian will be done on the basis of CUET PG scores.

Jamia MA Application Process

The application process for Jamia is completely online. Candidates interested in applying for admission should go to the University's official website to fill out the application form, attach documents, and pay the application cost.

Candidates must pay the application fee using a credit card, debit card, or net banking when submitting their application. The application cost is non-refundable after it has been received successfully by JMI, and no correspondence on the issue will be entertained.

All undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the university include placement opportunities. JMI offers a training and placement unit that works with businesses and organizes student placement efforts.

There were 478 job offers from leading corporations.
The placement campaign attracted almost 100 companies.
The highest wage package on offer was INR18 LPA.
The lowest wage package was INR 3.8 LPA.
A company called Zee Entertainment offered the highest salary package of INR 7 LPA in the placement round of 2020.
On average, more than 200 students were placed at top companies out of 300 eligible students. Approximately 90% of students were recruited during their campus placement.
Accenture, Byju's, Hindustan Times Digital, TCS, Adobe Systems, Indian Navy, HSBC Technology, and many more major organizations participated in the JMI placements.

Comparing School of Engineering CUSAT and Jamia Millia Islamia is not suitable as both the colleges are well established and are holding their culture and curriculum really very well. So, choosing either of them would not be easy. But, as far as I know, Jamia Millia Islamia was established 100 years ago and is better than SOE CUSAT. Jamia Millia Islamia will offer you a productive and competitive environment. You will also get to do lots of extracurricular activities and will get to learn from highly efficient teaching staff in JMI. In CUSAT, you might be taught by recently graduated teachers. This will not only affect the teaching methodology but a good exposure as well. CUSAT is nicely harnessed and handled by various Political parties for their own benefit. You can see a few strikes now and then among students and parties. But it should not be your concern as you are going to study there and grow productively.

I have cousins from both NIT Goa, and Jamia Millia Islamia and as they mention, the latter is famous for its CSE course. Usually, students do not leave the opportunity to go for the CSE course of Jamia Millia Islamia. CSE is comparably better than most of the other branches in the educational domain. CSE provides you job opportunities in accordance to what you have been exposed to, academically. On the other hand, ECE is undeniably a good choice of stream. For securing a good job position, you will have to pursue majoring in one of many programming languages or web development projects. This translates to studying for your course and also pursuing something extra for exposure. While CSE students are already part of studying these domains in general. ECE students usually also go for the GATE exam. However, the only upside ECE students enjoy is finding the slightest amount of vacancies in PSU, while CS students are somewhat one step lower than it.
