JMI uses a course-wise admission method for its UG and PG programmes, including options such as BA and B.Tech. Many courses require the university entrance test, while specified programmes use national exam scores such as JEE Main, NEET-UG, CUET, NATA, NCET, GATE and CLAT only where the university states so.
As a Minority Institution under Article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution, JMI keeps 30% seats for Muslim minority candidates and another 10% seats only for Muslim women in every programme. The same reservation rule applies across all JMI courses.
JMI B.Tech regular programmes have a yearly fee of INR 19,525, while each self-financed B.Tech programme has a yearly fee of INR 1,53,175.

Ques. Can a CLAT score be used for JMI BA LLB admission?
Ans. No. The Faculty of Law at JMI does not take CLAT scores for BA LLB (Hons). Admission to the 5-year course is through JMI's own Common Entrance Test (CET), held on June 4, 2026. The course has 120 seats, divided equally between the general fee and self-financed fee categories.
