IIIT Delhi CSE is a better option compared to DTU Mechanical. It is a great option for pursuing a CSE degree. The institute has a great faculty pool. It also offers good placement opportunities. According to the 2021 placement highlights, IIIT Delhi CSE average package is INR 16.81 LPA. Ques

Why are IIIT's such as IIIT-Hyderabad, IIIT-Delhi and IIIT-Allahabad so under-rated?

● Top Answer By Ashwin Mahajan on 30 Aug 22

Ans
Any institute’s reputation is built by its alumni. IIITs are established later compared to all major technological institutes in the country. This is perhaps the major reason why IIITs are underrated. IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Hyderabad are around 20+ years old. In spite of being comparably new, IIIT Allahabad is constantly ranked among the top technological institute in the country for IT.

Ques

Ques

Do you think IIIT Delhi should be preferred over the top 3 NITs (Trichy, Warangal and surathkal) by a South Indian when there is passion for coding?

● Top Answer By Ankita Rastogi on 03 Sept 21

Ans
Yes, you can go for IIIT Delhi without any second thought. The institute has come a long way and it has improved its reputation. It can easily compete with some of the most sought-after institutes.  Placements: In its latest placement season, more than 140 companies have visited the campus and made a total of 585 offers to its students. The highest domestic package was INR 50 LPA and the international offer was INR 37.50 LPA. The average package offered was INR 16.14 LPA. Faculty: It can obviously be said with certainty that the faculty of IIIT Delhi is enviable and can stand toe to toe with the institutes mentioned in the question. Coding Culture: IIITD has dedicated clubs with great coding culture for students. Previously, 15 students got selected for Google Summer of Code. Hostels: The hostel rooms at this institute are much better than any government college. Proper air-conditioning is provided at nights during summers and heaters during winters. Location: IIITD enjoys the locational advantage of being situated in the capital city. You will be given great exposure and opportunities. NITs, on the other hand, are located far away from the cities and you may face travel problems. Some of the disadvantages that you may encounter at IIITD are the reputation and campus life that NITs carries. They are more reputable than IIITD and have a great campus life.

Ques

Which is better, IIIT Delhi or IIIT Allahabad?

● Top Answer By Ratrij Bose on 07 Jul 21

Ans
It's possible that IIIT Delhi is superior to IIIT Allahabad because of its prime location and excellent faculty and placement statistics. IIIT Allahabad is also a National Institute of Importance, but IIIT Delhi is not. The coding culture isn't even close to being equivalent; IIIT-D is far superior. Professors at IIIT-D are generally PhDs from prominent universities throughout the world, therefore their experience and letters of recommendation are quite valuable. Another plus for Delhi is that the research climate is excellent, especially for undergraduates. Technically, neither has “100%” placements, but their placements are extremely similar overall—Delhi to Allahabad. The differential in tuition prices is the most compelling reason to pick IIIT Allahabad over IIIT Delhi. Categories IIIT Delhi IIIT Allahabad Course Fee 15.04 lakh 5.41 lakh Highest CTC 40 LPA 45 LPA Average CTC 25 LPA 21 LPA Recruiting Companies GE, Oracle, AMD, Synopsys, etc. Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, etc. For the time being, the positions are identical, although Delhi is considerably younger and already has similar placements. It also appears that the overall atmosphere in Delhi has improved.

Ques

Which of these colleges is better for computer science: BIT Mesra or IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Arohi Dasgupta on 13 Apr 22

Ans
Among these, IIIT Delhi is the better choice for a Computer Science degree. It is a research institute, so you will get to learn through hands-on experience, and projects, rather than just theory. IIIT Delhi CSE syllabus puts more emphasis on core subjects. You will study subjects like Intro to Programming, and Systems Management, from the first year itself.  The programming community at IIIT Delhi is amazing. They have clubs like Byld and Foobar. IIIT Delhi will offer you endless opportunities to upskill yourself.  In terms of placements, IIIT Delhi and BITS Mesra are almost on the same level. As per the 2021 placement highlights, the average CTC for IIIT Delhi was INR 14 LPA.

Ques

Is NIT Trichy better than IIIT-D?

● Top Answer By Sikha Rajput on 13 Apr 22

Ans
No, NIT Trichy ranks lower than IIIT Delhi, in terms of placements, academics, exposure, coding culture, environment, etc. Being located in Delhi, it has a huge locational advantage. It’s easier to get internships and projects in the various industrial sectors around Delhi NCR.  IIIT Delhi has an amazing coding culture. You will get to learn a lot about programming from your seniors and peers.  IIIT Delhi placement record for 2021 shows an average CTC of INR 14 LPA. The placement average is around 94.06%.

Ques

Should I go to NSIT, IT , IIIT Allahabad or IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Joyeeta Bakshi on 07 Jul 21

Ans
NSIT has better placement statistics and the maximum package offered to an on-campus placed student than IIIT-A, but you (as an IT student at NSIT) will be sitting with CE students for placements, which is the more well-known branch of the two. However, when comparing the IT departments of the two colleges, IIIT-A was created as a centre of excellence in the field of IT and is well-known for its curriculum. The disciplines taught here are also part of the curriculum of several prestigious universities around the country. In terms of your interests, if you're interested in coding, IIIT-A is the place to go. Categories NSIT IIIT Allahabad IIIT Delhi Course Fee 8.44 lakh 5.41 lakh 15.04 lakh Highest CTC 45 LPA 45 LPA 40 LPA Average CTC 17 LPA 21 LPA 25 LPA Recruiting Companies Intel, Accenture, Capgemini, HCL, etc. Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, etc. GE, Oracle, AMD, Synopsys, etc. To summarise, if you have an interest in coding and want to be a part of one of the top coding cultures in the country, you should enroll in IIIT-A. But if your priority is to be close to home, and you believe you can outperform CE students on final placements, then NSIT is the place to be.
