Eligibility Criteria

The minimum requirement for the Program is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum aggregate marks of 50% in any discipline and a minimum of three-year post-qualification work experience as of April 1st of the year in which the program is commencing.

Important Notes:

Boarding (mess) charges will be Rs15,000/- to Rs22,000/- per Trimester.
PGP students would be provided accommodation on twin sharing basis in the 1^st year.
Caution Deposit (one time) is to be paid separately at the time of Registration.
The amount of Rs1,00,000/- deposited while accepting the offer of Admission will be adjusted against the 1^st term fees.
The term-wise amount indicated above is payable at the beginning of each term.

Tuition Fee and payment schedule

After receiving provisional admission, the student should get the student VISA and complete all other requirements including fee payment. Students should report at the Institute for registration on July 1, 2024. Subsequently, the candidate needs to pay the requisite fee as per the following schedule in Indian Rupees, based on the prevailing exchange rate in the RBI website on the day of payment. The amount shown in US$ is equivalent to one.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian Students

Students must have passed bachelor’s degree with 50% in any relevant discipline. There is a 5% relaxation for students from SC or ST category.
Final year students are also eligible to apply.

Foreign Students:

Applicants must have a relevant undegreaguate degree with a CGPA equivalent to 50% on a scale of 10 points.
Non- English background students must have a TOEFL score to apply for admission.

Selection Criteria

Indian Students

The admission is a three stage process which includes the following levels of evaluations:

STAGE I: Personal Interview Shortlisting Round

Students are selected based on their CAT scores to appear for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). CAT exams’ sectional cut off and overall percentile are taken into consideration for shortlisting students. The table below shows minimum cut-offs of CAT-2022 Percentile for respective categories to be called for the next stage:

STAGE II: Final Selection Round

There are three major categories where students are marked to make it to the final merit list. The total weightage is 100% but it is divided into different sections. Broadly the category wise weightage is elaborated below:

Academic Profile Weightage

The weightage for class XII and graduation are evaluated by IIM Raipur upon receiving the respective mark sheets. Read on about the weightage:

Work Experience Weightage

Applicants applying to IIM Raipur will be awarded an extra weightage with a relevant work experience. Scores will be awarded depending upon the proof of experience and completion of the proposed time (months). A brief outline of the work experience scores are:

>3 to 12 months: 1 marks
>12 to 18 months: 3 marks
>18 to 24 months: 6 marks
>24 to 30 months: 9 marks
>30 to 36 months: 6 marks
>36 to 42 months: 3 marks
>42 to 48 months: 1 marks

STAGE III: Offer Acceptance

For a limited time the IIM Raipur portal would be opened for students to submit the admission fee of INR 1,00,000. This is basically a confirmation and acceptance of the admission seat at IIM Raipur. But those who would like to withdraw will be refunded a fee of INR 1000 before registration dates.

Foreign Students

Students must have a valid score in GMAT of 650 or above.
They must hold a relevant and justifiable passport.
Students must have a TOEFL certificate (if required). With an IBT score of 80 an PBT score of 520.
Upon application submission and thorough evaluation an interview will be conducted through video conferencing.

3 LORs from competent authority (Teacher/Employer).

Provisional admission letter from the Admissions Office, in order to obtain the VISA. Letter.

Your preference order should be IIM Trichy> IIM Udaipur> IIM Raipur. In terms of academics, ROI, placements, recruiting companies, and peer groups, IIM Trichy is the best option for Operation. IIM Trichy placements 2022 highlights show that Operations is among the major recruiting domain. The average and highest CTC offered by the recruiters in this domain were INR 16.7 LPA and INR 22 LPA, respectively.

IIM Trichy is the best option among these. It is especially good for Strategy, Finance, and Marketing specialization. The institute has an excellent placement record. IIM Trichy placement 2022 ended with an average CTC of INR 17.01 LPA, while the highest CTC offered this year was INR 34 LPA. It has a permanent campus and offers an enviable campus experience to students. If you want to specialize in HR, IIM Ranchi will be a better option.

Choose wisely by taking all B school reports with a level of caution. Instead of quitting your job and enrolling in a school where you might get a placement that is below average, opt for an Executive MBA if you are currently employed and secure. In this situation, you should choose NITIE because of its location in Mumbai, which is crucial for attracting top employers for placements. For at least the next ten years, stay away from all new IIMs. It is not recommended at all to enroll in business schools that are less than 15 years old after leaving a secure job because they take at least 15-20 years to establish themselves. Only when your salary is between 3 and 4 LPAs should you think about enrolling in a new or infant IIM. Alternatively, you could try switching to a better organization that will likely pay you more money.

But do not worry as many freshers have this doubt regarding joining an IIM. In IIM Rohtak, the majority of the students are freshers. The best thing about IIM Rohtak is that it will expose you to various individuals from diverse backgrounds. This will enrich your experience through peer-to-peer learning. Also, the college will prepare you for the corporate world ahead. The best thing about freshers is that they are almost like a clean slate with no general preference of one specialization over the other which students with work experience generally have. Now the most important aspect; placements. Apart from a very few select companies, almost all others allow everyone without any bias. In fact, there are many companies that are actually looking for freshers. In terms of experience before the final placements, you can participate in corporate case competitions, guest lectures, research projects, etc. The experience you will gather through your summer internship is also very valuable. The placement committee also tries its best to bring in as many live projects as possible and you could also apply for them. All of these activities will help you to close the gap of not having work experience before significantly.

Among these colleges, IIFT Kolkata or MDI will be better for Finance. According to MDI Gurgaon placements 2022 record, BFSI, and E-Commerce sectors had placement rates of 22% and 13%. During 2021 placement drive, 55 students from MDI were placed in the Finance sector. The highest CTC offered in this sector was INR 21-23 LPA. You can also consider IIFT Kolkata. NMIMS Mumbai is the better option among these. It is especially good for Finance. Mumbai houses many top MNCs in the country. So, you will get excellent exposure. Diverse pool of recruiters visits the NMIMS placement drive each year. During the 2022 placement drive, students received an average CTC of around INR 23.07 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 57.65 LPA. 32% of the placement offers were from the Finance domain. NMIMS brand name is well-reputed in the industry.
