Your preference order should be IIM Trichy> IIM Udaipur> IIM Raipur. In terms of academics, ROI, placements, recruiting companies, and peer groups, IIM Trichy is the best option for Operation.  IIM Trichy placements 2022 highlights show that Operations is among the major recruiting domain. The average and highest CTC offered by the recruiters in this domain were INR 16.7 LPA and INR 22 LPA, respectively.  

IIM Trichy is the best option among these. It is especially good for Strategy, Finance, and Marketing specialization. The institute has an excellent placement record. IIM Trichy placement 2022 ended with an average CTC of INR 17.01 LPA, while the highest CTC offered this year was INR 34 LPA. It has a permanent campus and offers an enviable campus experience to students.  If you want to specialize in HR, IIM Ranchi will be a better option. 

Choose wisely by taking all B school reports with a level of caution. Instead of quitting your job and enrolling in a school where you might get a placement that is below average, opt for an Executive MBA if you are currently employed and secure. In this situation, you should choose NITIE because of its location in Mumbai, which is crucial for attracting top employers for placements. For at least the next ten years, stay away from all new IIMs. It is not recommended at all to enroll in business schools that are less than 15 years old after leaving a secure job because they take at least 15-20 years to establish themselves. Only when your salary is between 3 and 4 LPAs should you think about enrolling in a new or infant IIM. Alternatively, you could try switching to a better organization that will likely pay you more money.

The worth of joining any institute or any program depends on what you expect and what you want. If you have the clarity of why you want to do an MBA, then everything else will fall into place. But do not worry as many freshers have this doubt regarding joining an IIM. In IIM Rohtak, the majority of the students are freshers. The best thing about IIM Rohtak is that it will expose you to various individuals from diverse backgrounds. This will enrich your experience through peer-to-peer learning. Also, the college will prepare you for the corporate world ahead. The best thing about freshers is that they are almost like a clean slate with no general preference of one specialization over the other which students with work experience generally have. Now the most important aspect; placements. Apart from a very few select companies, almost all others allow everyone without any bias. In fact, there are many companies that are actually looking for freshers. In terms of experience before the final placements, you can participate in corporate case competitions, guest lectures, research projects, etc. The experience you will gather through your summer internship is also very valuable. The placement committee also tries its best to bring in as many live projects as possible and you could also apply for them. All of these activities will help you to close the gap of not having work experience before significantly.

For Finance, IIM Trichy is the best option. It has a great faculty base for this domain. Most of the faculty members are from IIM ABC. It is among the handful of B-School in India that has an association with CFA.  According to the highlights of IIM Trichy placements 2021, 15% of the placement offers were made from the finance sector. The average CTC offered by the recruiters from this sector was INR 17.67 LPA. 

Out of the IIMs like IIM Rohtak, IIM Raipur, and IIM Udaipur, IIM Ranchi may be the best choice for several reasons. Firstly, despite being an IIM, IIM Ranchi is relatively new and is still working towards building a reputation for itself. On the other hand, IIM Ranchi is an established institution that has been around for longer and can be trusted for its campus, faculty, and placements.  Additionally, as a newer institute, IIM Ranchi may be more focused on making a mark and establishing itself as a top business school, which could potentially lead to a more dedicated and driven faculty and student body. Overall, while all the IIMs are highly regarded institutes, IIM Ranchi may offer a unique and potentially more rewarding experience due to its status as a newer institute.

IIM Raipur was founded in 2010 and is among the new IIMs to be developing quickly, which is important to keep in mind. The Ministry of HRD, GoI has recognized IIM Raipur as an institute of national importance due to its high RoI. In the Outlook-ICARE MBA Rankings 2022, IIM- Raipur is ranked eighth among India's top 25 government business schools. According to the NIRF Rankings 2022, IIM Raipur is ranked 14th in the management category. IIM Raipur was also ranked second in the CSR-GHRDC B School Ranking Survey 2021 under Top Government B School in the overall category, which is the institute's highest ranking ever. The college is in Naya Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh. Pros of IIM Raipur include: Large batch size with 252 students registered and 113 recruiters participating, including 45 first-time recruiters Academic rigor with a case-based learning methodology, practical simulations, and interactive coaching. Professors have experience in both teaching and industry exposure. IIM Rohtak is comparably better than IIM Raipur. It offers a unique learning experience through group studies, club activities, presentations, committees, etc.  IIM Rohtak is ahead of the new IIMs as it has completed a decade and has better industry recognition.  It is located near the industrial area of Delhi NCR. So, students get better industrial exposure, live project opportunities, and internship offers.  The Industry Relations and Interactions Cell organizes regular guest lectures by reputed industry personalities to keep the students updated about current industry trends.  It is one of the only four IIMs to have a CFA affiliation.  The placement scenario of the institute is pretty good. Each year almost 100% of students get placed. IIM Rohtak placements 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 16 LPA.  The culture on campus is student-driven. Students are involved in managing curriculum to extracurricular activities under the guidance of management. So, you will learn to handle managerial tasks. 

Among these colleges, IIFT Kolkata or MDI will be better for Finance. According to MDI Gurgaon placements 2022 record, BFSI, and E-Commerce sectors had placement rates of 22% and 13%. During 2021 placement drive, 55 students from MDI were placed in the Finance sector. The highest CTC offered in this sector was INR 21-23 LPA.  You can also consider IIFT Kolkata. It offers similar opportunities as IIFT Delhi, in the Finance sector. During IIFT Kolkata Summer placements 2021, the top recruiting sector was BFSI. 

NMIMS Mumbai is the better option among these. It is especially good for Finance.  Mumbai houses many top MNCs in the country. So, you will get excellent exposure. Diverse pool of recruiters visits the NMIMS placement drive each year. During the 2022 placement drive, students received an average CTC of around INR 23.07 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 57.65 LPA. 32% of the placement offers were from the Finance domain.  NMIMS brand name is well-reputed in the industry.  These are some of the advantages of joining NMIMS Mumbai.
