Ques. Is there any deferral or refund policy for this Programme?

Ans. Refund Policy:

Students must pay an applicable Blocking Amount money for the enrollment to the Programme. This Blocking Amount will be adjustable against the total Programme fee payable by the student.
You can claim a refund for the amount paid towards the Program within 7 days of enrollment or before the Program Start Date whichever is earlier, by contacting your Admission Counselor and submitting your
refund form via email at Refunds@collegedunia.com. You can request your Admissions Counselor to help you in applying and withdrawing for a refund by sending them an email with reasons listed. Processing fee of 10% of total program fee(Including taxes) will be levied. If less than 10% have been paid in total, student shall not be eligible for any refund in such case.
Student shall not be eligible for any refund under any circumstances if any such refund requests are raised post Cohort Commencement Date and student will continue to pay the EMI for loan (if applicable) and such loan cannot be cancelled. This is also applicable for those students who could not complete their payment and could not be enrolled in the cohort opted for. However, the student can raise a request for Pre-Programme deferral as per the policy defined below for the same. In case of a refund, student will be solely responsible for any cancellation of loan, including but not limited to applicable loan cancellation charges levied on the total cancelled loan amount.
Student must pay the full fee within 7 days of payment of Blocking Amount Money or Cohort Commencement Date, whichever is earlier, otherwise the admission letter will be rescinded.
Requests for refund must be sent via e-mail in the prescribed Refund Request Form. The refund will be processed within 30 working days after being duly approved by the Academic Committee.

Deferral Policy: (Pre-Cohort Commencement)

If a student, due to unavoidable circumstances is unable to commence with the cohort and requests for a deferral before the cohort starts, we provide the opportunity for the student to defer to another batch.
However, the student will be required to pay 50% of the total course fee amount (inclusive of taxes) before the deferral can be approved. Till this is completed, the student will be assumed to be continuing in the same cohort.
A student can request for deferral only once and to either of the scheduled cohorts to start in the next 1 year from the batch start date of initial batch the student enrolled for.
The student has time till the current cohort launch date to make the payment of the 50% program fee, post which the deferral request will expire. Once the deferral window expires and the student now asks for a refund, the above-mentioned applicable refund policy will apply.
The fee applicable to the deferred student will be as per prevailing fee for the batch student as opted to defer to (No additional deferral fee is required to be paid).

Deferral Policy: (Post-Cohort Commencement)

If a student is facing severe issues in dedicating time to the course, we provide the opportunity for the student to defer to another batch.
A student can request for deferral only once and to either of the scheduled cohorts to start in the next 1 year from the batch start date of initial batch the student enrolled for.
The student will be required to pay a deferral fees of 10% of the total course amount fee + Taxes if any along with the differential programme fees between the two cohorts
The deferral request will be approved once the deferral fee is paid.
Till this is completed, the student will be assumed to be continuing in the same cohort.
The student has 7 days (including holidays and weekends) from the date of deferral request to make the payment of the deferral fee post which the deferral request will expire, and the student will continue as part of the current cohort.
If the student completes the deferral payment, the student’s login will be disabled, the student will leave the deferred cohort and the student will start learning on the new cohort from the point of the last assignment that was graded in the deferred cohort. All grades and progress till that point will be carried forward as it is to the new cohort. For clarification, the grades of the graded assignments will be carried forward, whether the student had submitted these grading during the initial stage.
The deferral can only be requested during the batch for which the student has enrolled is ongoing. Once the batch has completed, deferral requests shall not be entertained. For clarification, the batch completion here shall mean the “last grace deadline” as communicated by Collegedunia.

NIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Patna. It offers better facilities and placements. Academics at NIT Jamshedpur isn’t stressful. There are no mandatory 75% attendance criteria. So, you will get a lot of time for self-study or work on your different hobbies. The peer group is amazing. You will share your lectures with talented people from different backgrounds. NIT Jamshedpur alumni base is huge. Most of the alumni are placed in good positions in the core sector. NIT Jamshedpur placement 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 13.2 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 56 LPA. In terms of academics, placements, and campus life NIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Patna.

Between IIIT Lucknow and NIT Patna, the former is a better choice, especially for IT. I have a few friends in the IT department of IIIT Lucknow, so I can vouch for it. Here are a few highlights of IIIT Lucknow. Placements: IIIT Lucknow has already released its placement report for the year 2020, and It is seen that the highest CTC stood at INR 43 LPA whereas the average CTC stood at INR 18.4 LPA. Someone else's package doesn't guarantee that you'll also bag the same package. Out of mentioned options, NIT Patna is a better option not because of the 40 lakh package. The placement package had been offered by Adobe which is said to recruit 2 ladies each offering 20 lakh packages to each. But in 2018, Adobe hired a female student offering her 40 LPA package, which can be true or even wrong information. However, you should not take admission in NIT Patna just because someone bagged a 40 Lakh package. The package will depend on your dedication during the course. It will help you easily earning a 6-8 LPA package. According to my friends at IIIT Guwahati, CSE at IIIT Guwahati is definitely a better choice. Let me provide some points which will give you a better insight into the colleges. The campus of NIT Puducherry is almost 130 km away from the city, located in a remote place known as Karaikal. This hampers placements. In NIT Puducherry, 90-95% of students are from South India. So, students from other parts of the country face a serious linguistic problem. For most North Indian Students, it is somewhat hard to sustain in the South Indian culture. IIIT Guwahati has experienced rapid growth over the last few years, which makes it a much better choice than NIT Patna/ Puducherry. There is no home state quota in IIIT Guwahati, so there is no such problem of linguistics as in NITs. In addition, there are 18 students in IIIT Guwahati who are from abroad, selected through the DASA UG scheme of 18 seats. From 2019, the B.Tech seats were increased by 33% for Girl Supernumerary Quota, because the previous batch had only 3.5% girls. The total number of seats from then is 233. As one of my close friends studied in the computer science department at NIT Patna, I can say that it is not at the same level as that of IIIT Allahabad. IIIT Allahabad is much more effective compared to NIT. Having studied at IIIT Allahabad, let me give you some facts as to why it stands out. IIIT Allahabad focuses on programming languages extremely well for those who are planning to master this field. Many MNCs also hire students from IIIT Allahabad. Many top global companies like Facebook and Google hire young students for their talent. You will probably not find these opportunities at NIT Patna. Moreover, IIIT Allahabad also has a really big 100-acre campus with 24/7 lab facilities. Compared to this, Patna is quite small. If you are staying in the hostel, the facilities there are good too. Lastly, if you are into sports, these facilities are not available at NIT Patna as compared to IIIT Allahabad. In a nutshell, there are multiple core companies that visit the campus during the placement drive. These include major firms like Alston transport, L&T HED, L&T Constructions, Thermal, Havells, TATA Motors and many others. Other than these few, various other students secure placement offers in companies belonging to the IT sector and the Consultancy services.
