PSPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020- PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) will soon release a notification and application form for its recruitment process through GATE 2020. The company selects candidates on the basis of scores obtained in GATE 2020 for the post of Assistant Engineers (on training).

The candidates who have cleared or are appearing for the B.Tech/ B.E./ B.Sc. (Engg.) programme in Electrical stream are eligible to apply for PSPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020. The candidates have to apply separately for PSPCL recruitment apart from the GATE Application Process. The salary offered to the selected candidates is INR 16650- INR 39100.

Job Profile

Assistant Engineer (On Training): Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/B.Sc. (Engineering) degree in Electrical discipline  from a recognized university /Institute approved by AICTE  with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade or AIME with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata.

The Electrical discipline includes Electrical engineering or Electrical & Electronics engineering:

1. People who are already working in PSPCL and are willing to improve their position and fulfill the eligibility criteria can also apply.
2. Students who are giving their final year exam in 2020 can apply but it is necessary to have their degree completed at the time of document verification at the time of appointment in the organization.

Salary Allowance for PSPCL Recruitment

Salary offered to the people who are recruited in PSPCL is 16650-39100+ Rs.5800 (Grade pay).

There is an added piece of information to this salary provided.During the time of probation as mentioned in the letter of appointment or extended period of appointment whichever is more, the new joinee will be paid a fixed monthly remuneration which will not include any Grade Pay, Dearness Allowance, annual increment or any other allowance except the travelling allowance which is based upon the position you are holding in the organization.

In case you are already working in PSPCL and have cleared the admission criteria then your payment will be protected if your monthly payment is greater than that given in the new appointment criteria.

In simple terms if your salary is greater than the allowance for the new post than the higher among the two will be given to you.

But since you will be joining again PSPCL in the new position so no annual increment will be given to you if you are already working with PSPCL. You will be given only the TA in the name of allowances at the new position of AE.

Eligibility

The lower limit of the age is 20 and the upper age limit is 37 years as on January 01, 2020 as on the date of the advertisement given for recruitment.

Note: No other people of a stream like B.E./B.tech (computer science /Information technology/Mechanical) or any other stream of Engineering is eligible.

Education Qualification

All people who are willing to join PSPCL are stated to have an essential understanding (reading/writing) Punjabi up to class 10^th or equivalent. This will be verified at the time of document checking.

There is relaxation for Sikh migrants i.e they have to acquire a qualification in Punjabi within 2 years of joining otherwise their recruitment is terminated.
