NPCCL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – National Projects Construction Corporation Limited will recruits young Engineers as Management Trainees (Civil) through GATE 2020 for Civil Engineering Disciplines. 

Candidate needs to be a B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) graduate through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities / Institutes to be eligible for recruitment. About GATE 2020:
GATE 2020 will be conducted by IIT Delhi on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020. It is an online mode test held for 25 different disciplines. Candidates having bachelor’s degree with minimum required marks can apply on the official website of exam. GATE 2020 Registration is done from September 1 to October 1, 2019. 

Number of Vacancy

The candidates, once selected for the post of Management Trainee (Civil) will have to undergo training/work in any Unit/Area/Place situated in India and Abroad that will be under the control of NPCC Limited.

Hence, it should be noted that the current vacancies are initially only for the following regions:

  1. North East region and in state of West Bengal under Eastern Region, Kolkata.
  2. Northern Zone and in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The number of tentative seats in these areas is as follows:

  • North East & Eastern Zone/Kolkata: 10 seats
  • State of Jammu & Kashmir: 5 seats

Job Profile and Salary

The candidates will be selected for the post of Management Trainee (Civil) in NPCCL.

NPCC Limited is a company that works towards Engineering Construction, Planning, Operation and Project Management Consultancy. They employ these operations in the fields of industrial Infrastructure, Thermal, Hydroelectric, Tunnelling, Railways, Highways, Surface Transport, Townships, Buildings, Dams, Weirs, Barrages, Public Health, Environmental Engineering and Border Fencing & Flood Lightning Works etc.

The selected candidates will undergo training for six months in any Unit/Area/Place under the control of NPCC Limited.

For the training period, the Trainees will be paid a consolidated payment of Rs. 30,000/- p.m.

After the successful completion of six months training period candidates will be absorbed in E-1 Grade as Deputy Manager in their respective discipline at various works/related assignment.

As Deputy Manager, their pay scale would be of Rs.16400-40500 (IDA) and they shall be placed under probation of one year.


General Instructions

  • Candidates who are Indian Nationals can apply only.
  • All educational qualifications should be obtained from an Indian University/Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC. 
  • Candidates from PSE/Govt./Quasi Govt. should produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of Interview.
  • If CGPA/OGPA or grading system in a degree is awarded, then the equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by the University/Institute.
  • The candidate will have to produce a copy of these norms with respect to his/her university/institute at the time of interview. Final Year students have to indicate the marks secured upto the previous semester.
  • The management holds the right to amend/relax/cancel /modify/ alter the recruitment/selection process/eligibility conditions depending on the response and requirement of Management.  
  • If outstation candidates are called for an interview, they will be paid single travel expenses incurred by them not exceeding 3rd AC Railway fare to & fro from the place of their correspondence (within India) as mentioned in their applications with shortest route on production of receipt/Tickets only.
  • The Candidate has to be medically fit for the post and this is an important condition for the selection. The candidate should be found medically fit by the corporation’s medical officer/board for the post(s) for which they have been selected.
  • If there is no Corporation’s certified doctor, then the medical examination will be conducted by an approved Government hospital/medical board, as may be indicated in the Offer Letter.
  • Mere submission of application does not mean that the candidate has been selected for the interview.  
  • Since the candidates will be called for selection based on self-certified information furnished by them it is important that they fill the application form as completely and as accurately as possible.
  • Candidates must also produce the supporting documents, in original, at the time of Interview failing which such candidates will not be permitted to appear for the interview and Travelling Allowance will not be reimbursed.
  • The SC/ST/OBC/PWD Certificate has to be issued in English or Hindi language only. If done otherwise, they will have to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi.
  • It is liable that the selection process of a candidate be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or on joining if any information provided by the candidate is false or is not found to be in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
  • Candidates who have already deserted/resigned from their appointment in NPCC Limited will not be considered.
  • Selected candidates while joining the post of Management Trainee will be required to execute a Service Agreement Bond for a total value of Rs.1,00,000/- to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three years after completion of Training.
  • Since the selected candidates will be posted initially only in the region applied for and selected by the candidate, they will not be considered for other regions.
  • In Case any Ambiguity/Dispute arises on account of interpretation in Hindi Version, English version will prevail.
  • Students are required to ensure that the GATE Registration Number mentioned in the GATE Admit Card is filled up correctly. Candidate should enter the name as it appears in the GATE Admit Card. Slight change and any difference between the two can lead to cancellation of the application.
  • In case the applicant is called for Interview, he/she should produce GATE Admit Card, GATE 2020 official scorecard, Registration-Cum-Application Form of NPCC.
  • No original document and certificates have to be sent along with the application.

Application Date

The application dates will be soon announced by NPCC Limited. This year also, the application forms will be available tentatively around the month of September and the last date of submission of application would be 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News.


Eligibility

Candidates have to be a B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) graduate in Civil Engineering through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities / Institutes to be eligible for recruitment.

The upper age limit as on December 31, 2020 must be 27 years.

However, Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and PWD & Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India rules.

Reservation

Reservation is provided to following categories:

  • Scheduled Castes
  • Scheduled Tribes
  • Other Backward Classes including minority (non-creamy layer)
  • Ex-Servicemen
  • Persons With Disabilities (degree of disability 40% or above)

Please note that the OBC Candidates who belong to “Creamy Layer” are not entitled for concession admissible to OBC category and such candidates have to indicate their category as General/UR.

The OBC candidates of Non-Creamy Layer are required to submit requisite certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India and from a Competent Authority issued in the Current year.

They also have to give a self-undertaking indication that they belong to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category also at the time of Interview.

Persons with Disabilities are required to furnish Medical Certificate in relation to their disability from Medical Board of an approved Government Hospital.

The reserved category candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India and issued by the Competent Authority.

Note: Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) once filled in application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.


Application Fee

All applications must accompany Non-refundable Application Fees of Rs.500/-for General & OBC candidates in the form of Demand Draft with the validity of three months drawn in favour of “NPCC Limited” payable at New Delhi.

In case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, there will be no application fees.

Payment of application fee in the form of cheque is not acceptable &liable to be rejected. Please mention your name, address & post applied for on the reverse of D.D.

Application Process

The candidates will have to pay the application fees and download the application form on www.npcc.gov.in.

Candidates should submit their application in prescribed format duly signed and date along with self attested copies of:

  • Education Qualifications
  • Date of Birth/Proof of Age
  • Experience Certificates. 
  • In case of reserved category, a Certificate in the prescribed proforma as applicable to Central Govt. employment will be required.
  • Passport Size Photograph 

The application and the envelope should be super scribed with the name of the post applied for and Advt. No. NPCC/Regular/Sept-I/2016.

Application can be sent by Speed Post/ Regd. Only. No application will be received by hand.

Application received after due date will not be entertained.


Selection Process

NPCCL will recruit fresh / experienced Graduate Civil Engineers in Executive Cadre as Management Trainee through Gate – 2020.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on Actual GATE 2020 Marks only (out of 100) for Personal Interview.

The list of candidates short listed for Personal Interview will be available on the website www.npcc.gov.in and also communicated to the candidates through email/speed post.
