NHAI Recruitment through GATE 2020 – NHAI has released the notification for the recruitment of 48 Deputy Managers through GATE 2020 at their official website. The positions are open for graduate engineers in the discipline of Civil Engineering. The recruitment will only take place based on GATE score.

  • The application process for NHAI recruitment had been ended on June 22, 2020.
  • Based on  GATE Cut Off  candidates will be shortlisted and then called for the GD and PI rounds.
  • Also based on the score in qualifying degree and GATE, the authorities could offer direct offer to shortlisted candidates. 

GATE 2020 was successfully conducted in the month of Feb 2020 and all the candidates are advised to download their GATE scorecard as it is one of the major documents required during the time of the recruitment process.  Download GATE Scorecard

Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website of NHAI

Step 2: Click on the tab 'About Us' then click on "Recruitment" or current Vacancies

Step 3: Click on the advertisement for Deputy (Dy) Manager (Technical)

Step 4: Then fill the online application form and click the ‘Next’ button.

  • If you have provided the correct information then click on the submit button or you can edit the information.
  • A unique application number will be generated and sent to you via email.
  • Keep a copy of “Application Acknowledgement” as it will be required during the time of recruitment along with other documents.

NHAI Recruitment Selection Process

  • NHAI Recruitment selection process consists of three stages namely- GATE Score, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • After the announcement of GATE, the authority will shortlist candidates on the basis of their performance in GATE.
  • Listed applicants are called for group discussion and personal interview.
  • Final selection is done on the basis of the overall performance of the candidates.

  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD category certificate (if applicable)
  • Valid GATE 2020 scorecard

  • Besides numerous opportunities and perks, the candidates are entitled to a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-(in CDA pattern) + prevalent DA in CDA + 30% HRA or Lease Facility of Rs. 17800/- + Medical Facilities, other perks as per the rules of NHAI. Pay Band-3 -Rs. 15600-39100/-

Important Points to Keep in Mind

  • The candidates will be on a probation period of one year.
  • Further, the candidates will be posted anywhere in India and will not be entitled to any transportation benefits while joining duty.
  • The provision for reservation regarding disabled candidates will be covered as per “The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
  • Disability reservation criterion – 40% and above.
  • Certification of disability as stated by the candidates will have to produced certified by competent authority to issue Disability. The competent authority should be a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a State Government. The Central /State Government may constitute Medical Board(s) consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing locomotor/Cerebral/visual/hearing disability.
  • Applications need to submit all the documents only in the prescribed format. Further, all eligibility criteria need to be taken into consideration before filling the application form. No changes will be entertained once the application form has been submitted.
  • Candidates belonging to OBC category but not covered under “non-creamy layer” should indicate their category as “General”.
  • In addition, relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit for PWD candidates is admissible, i.e. total relaxation in the upper age limit will be 10 years for General, 13 years for Other Backward Class and 15 years for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates.
