Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the detailed eligibility criteria listed below:

• B.E or B.Tech degree in any branch.
• Alternatively, M.Sc., AMIE, or another equivalent course
• A valid GATE Score
• Minimum 60% marks for General candidates and 55% for SC/ST categories in the final qualifying examination

It must be noted that candidates will need to produce documents regarding their marks in the final qualifying exam on or before October 31, 2020.

• Candidates who are yet to appear in their final qualifying exam are eligible to apply for IIT M.Tech 2022 admission process.

IIT Patna M.Tech Admission through GATE 2022: Application Process

• First of all, candidates have to register at COAP Portal because all the IITs will post M.Tech admission offers on that website. 
• After that, you have to visit the website of the respective IIT for which you want to apply. 
• Fill the online application form before the due date by entering all the mandatory details. 
• The online application form fee for General and other category candidates is INR 300 and INR 150 respectively. 
• Submit the online application form and take a printout of the same for future reference.

IIT Patna M.Tech Admission Process

IIT Patna M.Tech Admission through GATE 2022: Selection Procedure

Candidates will be shortlisted for the M.Tech program on the basis of their GATE 2022 score. Then, there will be an Interview round conducted for the final selection of the candidates.

The weightage given to GATE and Interview scores will be in the ratio of 70% to 30%. Candidates will have to report at the IIT Patna Campus for the Personal Interview (PI) round. In the PI round, the skills that the candidate will be assessed for will be Basic Science, Engineering, and other related areas.
