IIT Mandi is an autonomous premier engineering and technology university located in Mandi. IIT Mandi offers postgraduate programs under various departments. For any candidate to be eligible for admission, he/she must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology or master's degree in appropriate Sciences with a valid score in GATE 2020 or equivalent national level examination or GRE in appropriate discipline.

• Candidates must hold a B.E. / B. Tech / AMIE or equivalent degree in the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Materials or Chemical disciplines / branches.
• Final year students are eligible and have to submit the proof of their passing by July 30, 2020
• Candidates must have obtained a valid GATE score
• Candidates with a B. Tech from any IIT and a CGPA/CPI score of 8.00 (on scale of 10) and above are exempted from GATE.

IIT Mandi M.Tech Selection Criteria 2020

• First of all, candidates have to register at the COAP portal and also at the application portal of IIT Mandi. 
• Only successfully registered candidates at both portals will be considered eligible for the admission process. 
• The authorities will shortlist candidates on the basis of their GATE scores
• Then IIT Mandi will upload the list of offers or selected candidates at the COAP portal.
• The authorities will provide the specialization and category wise shortlisted candidates list.
• Candidates will have to accept/reject or freeze or to choose any other options for the offers provided to them.
• IIT Mandi will release the list of the candidates until all the seats at the institute are filled.
