IIT Jodhpur Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Admission

For candidates possessing the following qualifying degree(s), the minimum eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Candidates possessing B.Tech/ BE/ B.Sc. (Engineering)
  1. At least 60% marks OR at least 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA
  2. Valid GATE score
• Candidates possessing M.Tech in Sciences
  1. At least 70% marks OR 7/10 CPI or CGPA
  2. Valid GATE Score
• Candidates having done B.Tech from any of the IITs
  1. CPI or CGPA should be 8/10 or above
  2. Valid GATE score is not needed

Candidates who wish to apply for M.Tech programme must visit the official website and make online application. The link will be activated at the time of beginning of admission process.  After submitting the application form online, candidate must send online generated summary sheet and final submitted application form, duly signed along with a copy of GATE score card by April 2020 to the following address

Jodhpur M.Tech 2020: How to Apply

Step 1: Candidate must visit the official website and register for the Online Application Process

This is how the Online application process webpage looks like. For new candidates who haven’t registered yet, first need to register. Before proceeding further candidates must read all the points mentioned under Online Registration Process. Also candidates should follow the steps given below to complete the application process without much difficulty

Step 2: To register for the admission process, a candidate must click on JOIN. Candidate will be directed to the following page

Candidate has to enter his/her Name, E-mail ID and all the relevant fields applicable, which includes qualifying degree, marks obtained in qualifying degree, Name, Email ID, Category, etc.. After registering, a login password and confirmation mail will be sent to the applicant on their registered E-mail ID. The password and E-mail ID will be used to fill and submit the online application form

Step 3: Candidate, after receiving the confirmation mail and password, must login using the E-mail ID and password. After logging in, candidate must fill in his/her details which include the personal details, contact information, etc.

Step 4: In the next step, the candidate has to upload scanned image of his/her photograph and signature. Photograph and signature image size should be less than 50KB. Uploading of image is necessary and image should be uploaded in JPEG format

Step 5: After uploading the images, click on submit to submit the application form.

Step 6: After submitting the application form, the next step is to pay the processing fee which has to be paid online by using the credit card/debit card/ net banking.

After submitting the online application form and paying the application fee, candidate must take a printout of online generated summary sheet and final submitted application form, duly sign it and send it to the address mentioned above before the last date

GATE Financial Assistance

IIT Jodhpur M.Tech. 2020: Assistantship

Candidates who are enrolled in M.Tech programmes, having their qualifying degree as BE/B.Tech/B.S/B.Des and have qualified GATE/GPAT, will be provided an assistantship of Rs. 12, 400 per month

• Sponsored Candidates, including those who are receiving similar Assistantship, Scholarship or Fellowship, would not be eligible for Assistantship
• B.Tech. Graduates from the IITs, securing a CGPA of 8/10 or more, would be eligible for Assistantship without even qualifying GATE
