The institute offers admission to a 2 and 3-years M.Tech course in 8 departments, based on GATE scores. It is mandatory for the eligible candidates to meet the desired eligibility criteria set by IIT Hyderabad. The allotment of seats is carried out on the performance of candidates in GATE. The application process is completely online. It is a 8-step process and is defined below:
Step 1: Registration: Registration page will ask the candidate to provide a valid login id, email address and password. The university will use this email id for further communication.
Step 2: Login Into Online Portal: The candidate has to provide the login id and password which he/she had chosen at the time of IIT Hyderabad M.Tech 2018 Registration
Step 3: Click Here To Apply: The candidate should then click on the link ‘click here to apply’ and choose the department by clicking on arrow of the corresponding department.
Step 4: Fill The Details: Fill or update the application details by clicking on appropriate arrows. Once the information is updated or filled on the IIT Hyderabad M.Tech 2018 application form, the candidate needs to click on either the save/submit button so that the data will be stored in the system.
Step 5: Fee Payment: Only SBI-Collect is accepted for IIT Hyderabad M.Tech 2020 application fee payment. At the time of fee paying the receipt should be carefully saved by the candidate. Save the SBCollect Reference Number and upload this reference document by clicking the link provided in checklist page.
Step 6: Submit The Application: Submit the application by clicking on ‘Submit Application’ button. After submission take out the print out of the admission application form by clicking on ‘Print Application’.
Step 7: Written Test: If a candidate is called for written test/interview then it is mandatory to carry all the documents, print out of the application form, payment reference number and certificates.
Step 8: Multiple Applications: A candidate can apply for several programs not only for one and for the same, multiple application form has to be filled. The application form can be updated including the uploading of photograph and all the necessary documents until the last date. It should be noted that, incomplete application will not be accepted.
Application fee for M.Tech 2020 is accepted through SBI Collect. It is mandatory to save the reference document, received at the time of paying fees. The application fee varies according to the category and it is mentioned below:

Filling up the IIT Hyderabad Application Form doesn’t ensure the confirmation in admission in M.Tech course. On the basis of valid GATE 2020 scores, candidates are eligible to apply for the application procedure. Candidates may also be required to appear for a written test and personal interview on the basis of merit scores.
