Mining engineering is an engineering discipline that applies science and technology to the extraction of minerals from the earth. It is one of the 25 papers of GATE. GATE Mining Engineering Syllabus is divided into 6 sections. 

The syllabus is based on the topics studied at graduation level. GATE Mining Engineering Exam Pattern

Candidates must go through the exam pattern and the marking scheme before preparing for the exam. 

• Mode of Examination: Online
• Duration of the exam is 3 hours.
• There will be 2 types of questions in GATE - MCQs and NATs.
• There will be three sections in the exam – General Aptitude, Mathematics and Subject- wise. 
• The total no. of questions in the exam will be 65. 
• Total Marks of 100
