How to Get M.Tech Admission in NIFFT Ranchi?

M.Tech Admission will be through centralized counselling for M.Tech CCMT-2020 in Foundry-Forge Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering. Candidates must have a B.E / B.Tech degree in relevant discipline from any of the recognized universities.

Students will be shortlisted on the basis of their merit obtained in the Entrance Tests conducted by the Institute. However, applicants applying for B.Tech/ M.Tech programmes will be approved for admittance on the grounds of their marks in All India entrance exams like IIT JEE, CAT and GATE.  Aspirants, who fail to attend or clear these Entrance exams, will not be eligible for admission in NIFFT.

GATE CCMT FAQ 2020

1. What is minimum eligibility Criteria in terms of CGPA/CGPI or % marks?

The category-wise minimum eligibility conditions are shown in the below table –

2. I apply now and I do not secure minimum marks/CGPA. Will the Registration fee be returned?

NO. Registration fee is one-time payment, and is non-refundable.

3. If a degree discipline doesn’t appear in list/menu while filling application, what do I do?

All such eligible degree disciplines as reported by various PIs have been included in the list. If the Degree / Discipline is not there in the list then he/she will not be eligible for CCMT 2020. In case applicant selects an existing discipline in the list, then a candidate herself/himself has to make sure that she/he is eligible to all the choices of PG programme filled by herself / himself. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to produce/prove discipline equivalence at the allotted Institute/reporting center; and CCMT will not be responsible for any such act on candidate’s part.

4. What happens if I do not register online?

CCMT 2020 is purely online based admission process. The candidates who fail to register in CCMT 2020 portal within the stipulated time will not be a part of the admission process. However, later on they can register online for the National Spot Round (NSR) as per CCMT schedule available on the website ccmt.nic.in
