GATE 2023, as per the previous trends, is supposed to be carried out by IIT Kanpur. The official notification for the exam as well as Registrations is expected to be out by September, 2022. The exam itself is expected to be conducted in the 1st to 2nd Week of February,2023.

What is the level of competition in GATE? Every year, more than 9 lakh people take the GATE Exam, which is held on a nationwide basis. Add to that, the once a year frequency of the exam and the expansive GATE Syllabus, the difficulty level of the exam rises ten fold. GATE is considered to be the one of the most competitive entrance exams of India, with only 16- 18 % of the total 9 lakhs or so applicants qualifying the exam each year. The rewards do outweigh the difficulty level of the exam. Successful candidates are eligible for admissions into ME/ M.Tech courses in the prestigious NITs, IIT and IISc Bangalore. The exam is also a recruiting criteria for several PSU recruitments such as ONGC, HAL, DRDO, BHEL.

Gate 2023 Preparation

GATE 2023:Preparation

Preparation Plan

How to Prepare for the GATE Exam in 2023 The GATE Exam is widely regarded as the most difficult exam in the country. As a result, in order to pass the GATE Exam 2023, gain admission to IITs/IISc, and to get a job in a public sector organization, one must be well prepared. Students who want to pass the GATE Exam with a good score must have solid planning, excellent execution, a competent mentor, and above all, self-confidence.

The following are some GATE 2023 Exam Preparation tips that students can use:

  • Begin Early

Aspirants who want to pass the GATE Exam in 2023 should begin their preparation as soon as possible. This will assist you in planning your studies and obtaining the necessary materials for the GATE Exam.

  • Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Because your preparation strategy will be dependent on two factors: the Exam Syllabus and the Exam Pattern, it's critical to understand the GATE Exam Syllabus and GATE Exam Pattern. A thorough understanding of the exam pattern will help you decide how to proceed with GATE Exam preparation and prepare for the GATE 2023 Exam.

  • Weightage of your strong subjects:

Understanding the topic distribution in the question paper is a crucial step because it will enable you to determine the weightage of your strong and weak regions, allowing you to prepare appropriately. You can look at Previous Year GATE Question Papers to determine how subjects are weighted, and then focus on those topics that appear to have more questions and weightage in the question paper.

  • Create a Study Strategy:

Once you've familiarized yourself with the Exam Pattern and Weighting, it's time to create a comprehensive study plan. While preparing the study plan, keep the following points in mind:

  • Set goals for yourself on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Remember to separate issues into sections that are challenging, moderate, and easy.
  • Organize your themes in such a way that they don't appear to be overly repetitious.
  • Give more weight to the topics with the most weight and the most chances of being asked in the exam.
  • Make sure you complete a sufficient number of mock tests and sample papers, as well as keeping track of your scores using your graph.
  • Break times and durations should be scheduled so that you stay energized even during long study hours.
  • Maths and Aptitude:

Because these two subjects are the most scoring ones in the GATE examination, you can prepare properly and improve your score. While Mathematics can be studied in the same way as Engineering, newspapers and past papers from other competitive tests can be used to prepare for the general aptitude component.

  • Revision:

The most significant aspect of GATE Exam 2023 preparation is to revise on a regular basis. The revision will help you comprehend the topics or concepts better and increase your knowledge. It is also a good idea to take notes during revision so that you may refer to them later during the exam. Also, solve the previous 20 years papers, which would make a significant contribution to your preparation.

Tips

Rohit Sachdeva AIR 93 (Civil Engineering)

Making a schedule and breaking the syllabus into sections will assist you in planning your studies. Divide your time between the chapters and topics you want to spend more time on and which take less time, according to your schedule. To keep the studies from becoming repetitive, change the topics after every few hours of study. To allow time for review, try to finish the syllabus well before the exam date. Take a short rest in between.

Abhash Roy AIR 1 (Electrical Engineering)

To complete the entire syllabus and avoid becoming over-hooked before the exam, one should begin studying for the exam as early as their graduation. Make a preparation schedule based on your free time outside of college. Regularly study and update what you've learned so you don't forget anything.

Ashutosh Rai AIR 3 (Mechanical Engineering)

In any exam, including the GATE, mock examinations and sample papers are essential. It aids in assessing our level of preparation, our blunders, and the amount of time we spend answering questions.

Divyanshu Jha AIR 8 (Mechanical Engineering)

A test series, which is widely available from many coaching professionals, is also essential because it aids students in analysing their exam temperament and teaches time management.

Nihar Sahoo AIR 9 (Computer Science)

If you're studying a specific topic, don't forget to go over the things you've already covered. This review will assist you in recalling the ideas.
