GATE 2022 AG Question Paper and Answer Key PDFs are now available for future GATE AG aspirants. The exam was held in CBT (Computer Based Test) by IIT Kharagpur. On 6th February, 2022 GATE 2022 AG was held in Afternoon Session (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). As reviewed by the candidates, the overall difficulty level of the question paper was difficult. Subject specific topics such as Soil and water conservation, Irrigation, FMPE, SWCE carried the highest weightage in GATE 2022 AG.

GATE 2022 AG Detailed Paper Analysis

The question paper contained two types of questions i.e. MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and NATs (Numerical Answer Type) questions. This year, maximum weightage was carried by NATs. The below-mentioned table shows the details regarding the weightage of questions as per question frequency and carried marks-

  • The General Aptitude section was rated moderate
  • The questions related to core Agriculture were of difficult level
  • The expected cutoff for the same may goes upto 25-29 for General, 21-25 for OBC-NCL, and 17-21 for SC/ST candidates
  • There were no MSQs (Multiple Select Questions) in GATE 2022 AG

  • GATE 2022 AG asked both MCQs and NATs. It was held online via CBT mode
  • As per the specified marking scheme by IIT Delhi, from the final score, ⅓ and ⅔ marks would be reduced for each wrong MCQ carried 1 and 2 marks
  • Wrong attempted NATs were not supposed to bring any kind of deduction in the final achieved marks
