GATE 2020 PH paper contained 65 (multiple choice and numerical answer type) questions worth a total of 100 marks.

• The overall difficulty of GATE 2020 PH paper was between moderate to easy.
• For each wrong attempt for one-mark MCQs, one-third of marks were deducted.
• In the case of 2-mark MCQs, the candidates were docked 2/3 of a mark for making an incorrect attempt.
• If a candidate doesn’t answer any of the questions, it was treated as zero point.
• For numerical answer type (NAT) questions, there was no negative grading.
• There were 3 sections in GATE 2020 PH Question Paper– Engineering Mathematics, General Aptitude and Subject specific- Physics.
• Questions from Mathematical Physics and Electronics were termed easy level.
