GATE 2020 ME Slot 1 (Forenoon Session) Paper Analysis

Questions appeared from the ten sections in GATE 2020 ME. 65 questions listed in the question paper, each question carrying 1 or 2 Marks. There were more than 30 NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions in GATE 2020 ME. Go through the below-mentioned table to get a detailed analysis of questions asked in GATE 2020 ME as per the weightage;

• Manufacturing holds the same weightage of around 18%
• The exam was conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test). The duration of the exam was 3 hours
• Core engineering sections holds the highest weightage
• ⅓ marks were deducted for every wrong attempted question carrying 1 Mark. ⅔ marks were deducted for every question carrying 2 Marks
• No marks were deducted for unattempted or incorrect NAT questions
• The released cutoff for the same was lower as compared to the last year
