2018 | Question Paper | Answer Key |
Last year, weightage of marks in the PH paper was given more to Thermodynamics & Statistical Physics (6Qs*2Mks) and Electromagnetic Theory (2Qs*1Mks | 5Qs*2Mks). Read on to know about the answer keys of Physics, steps to challenge the keys and paper analysis.
Important Note(s)!
General Aptitude: This section is mandatory. General Aptitude (GA) section comprised of 10 questions. 5 questions out of these will carry 1 mark each, while the remaining 5 shall carry 2 marks each, for a total of 15 marks.
Engineering Mathematics section: This section was also compulsory.
Subject-specific section: This section comprised 70% of the exam paper.
The difficulty level of the examination was between moderate and easy level. The total number of questions were not too much, thus running out of time was not a common problem among test takers. The problems were usually formula based, requiring little to no calculation.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
These questions are objective type with each having a set of four options, out of which one is the correct answer. They carry 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections.
Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
Similar to MCQs, each question carries either 1 or 2 marks. The answers to these questions are usually numbers which the candidate has to enter using a mouse and virtual keyboard. The answer can be either an integer or a number with decimals or even a decimal number. The candidate will not be given any choices for these questions.
