GATE 2020 will be conducted on February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020 through computer-based mode. IIT Delhi will release GATE Answer Keys 2020 (ME) at GOAPS portal. Candidates can download the question paper and answer key from gate.iitm.ac.in. The exam for both the sessions will conclude on February 2.

This year, the mechanical engineering paper was conducted in two sessions viz.
As per the students, the General Aptitude section had easy and direct questions. On the technical side, the Math section had about 8 questions (4Qs were of 1 mark and 4Qs. were of 2 marks) and about 47 questions were from ME branch.
There were about 26 questions in NAT section. 10 questions were of 1 mark and 16 questions of 2 marks. They were a bit lengthy and evaluated the candidate’s concepts.

As per the students, the General Aptitude section had some difficult questions. On the technical side, the Math section had about 8 questions and about 32 questions were from ME branch. There were about 32 questions in NAT section. 6 questions more than the morning session. As there were more questions in this section, managing the time became a task for the aspirants.

GATE Cut off is the minimum score required for admissions to the M.Tech programme in Mechanical Engineering. The merit list will be prepared for counselling and admission process on the basis of cutoff marks.
