The total marks for the exam were 100 and the total Duration of GATE 2016 XE was 3 hours. • The Fluid Mechanics Section (B) had 5 NAT questions of 1 mark each and 8 NAT questions of 2 marks each were asked in the question paper.
• In Material Science Section (C) 10 NAT Questions and 9 MCQs were found.
• The Solid Mechanics section(D) had 11 MCQ questions. The number of NAT questions was less in this section.
