BHEL 2022 Recruitment: Key Points

Bharat heavy electricals Limited (BHEL) was established in 1964 and is a government organization that recruits engineering graduates on the basis of their GATE 2022 score. It is the largest power-generating equipment manufacturers in India. BHEL has 17 manufacturing units (including 2 repair units) with 4 regional offices, 8 service centers, 8 overseas offices, 15 regional centers, and 7 joint ventures.

BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2022: Eligibility Criteria

It is necessary for the candidates to clear the eligibility criteria for the recruitment process. The candidates must clear all these criteria to apply for the posts- 

Age Criteria

• The candidates must be 27 years old and those born before 1st September 1992 cannot apply
• For candidates of 2 years, full-time PG in Engineering or Business Administration/Management the age limit would be 29 years

Educational qualification

The applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or could have a 5-year integrated Master’s Degree in engineering or technology in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering from a known university. 

Nationality

The applicants must be of Indian nationality. Foreign candidates are not eligible for BHEL recruitment through GATE scores.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of BHEL i.e https://www.bhel.com/bhel-landing/
• Step 2: Click on the ‘apply online’ option available
• Step 3: Select your discipline and enter your GATE 2022 registration number
• Step 4: Check the eligibility criteria and then apply
• Step 5: Fill in their details like name, age, educational qualification, and many more. 
• Step 6: You will be guided to a new page where your acknowledgment number will appear, which must be saved.
• Step 7: Upload the scanned documents and click on the submit the application form
• Step 8: Pay the application fee
• Step 9: The application fee can be paid through Debit/Credit card and Net Banking.
• Step 10: After submitting the fee and form, take a printout of the application form and receipt.

BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2022: Selection Process

Candidates wanting to join BHEL must have qualified GATE and will be selected based on the Personal Interview session.

• The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE 2022 score 
• The weightage will be divided for the selection process and 75% weightage will be given to the GATE Scores and 25% to the Interview round
• For Physically challenged candidates they will be given cut off marks relaxation in concerned categories for the interview round
• The candidates are required to provide the correct information, in case of false details given, they would be disqualified
• The candidate will not be considered until they clear all the rounds, including the interview round, as they would be called for the interview round separately 
• They must clear all rounds of the Selection Procedure to be finally eligible for Selection for the post of Engineer Trainees with BHEL

BHEL Recruitment Salary and Remuneration Package

The candidates will be given basic pay of INR 20600/- to 46500 during their training. After the selection of trainees as Engineers, they would get a pay scale of INR 24900 to 50500 with basic pay of INR 24900/-. The Total Cost to the company for Engineer Trainees will be INR 8 lakhs. Apart from basic pay for the engineers, there will be a few allowances and perks.

BHEL 2022 Recruitment Service Bond

The Shortlisted candidates will be asked to execute a bond of service of INR 2,00,000/- to serve the company after completion of their training. The candidates will also have to sign a surety bond with the company. During the training period and later, the candidates will not be allowed to request any transfer and if any outside influence is used, Rule 17 of the BHEL will be taken into consideration with Discipline and Appeal Rules 1975 coming into place.

Health and Medical Tests

The candidates should have proper health before joining the company, they will be asked to undergo medical examinations and the company’s head office will examine them.

• The candidates will get appointments depending on the health conditions and as prescribed by the firm. 
• The candidates will not get any health condition relaxations 
• Definition of Locomotor Disability and Hearing Impairment for PwD is as per the Disabilities Act 1995.
• The candidates with less than 40% of any relevant disability are not allowed for any health reservation. 
• The Physically challenged candidates have to give a self-attested and duly stamped medical certificate from a government hospital in relation to their disability as proof.
