Every year Airports Authority of India (AAI) recruits GATE qualified engineers from various disciplines. The application form for AAI recruitment through GATE are available at the official webiste. Civil, Electrical, Electronics engineering graduates having valid GATE scores (2019) are eligible to apply for the AAI recruitment. 

• The last date to fill the online application has been extended to September 15, 2020. 
• A total of 180 vacancies have been listed by AAI for the post of Junior Executive. Candidates must note that only GATE marks scored in the year 2019 will stand valid. 
• The minimum qualification required for is B.Tech with 60% marks in Civil, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 
• Candidates recruited through GATE usually work in Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) departments. These posts did not require any prior experience. The final selection of candidates will be based only on GATE scores.  Check GATE Cutoff

AAI Recruitment through GATE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions for AAI recruitment is listed below:

• Citizenship: Applicants should be Indian Citizens

AAI Recruitment Eligibility – Age Limit 

1. Not more than 27 years for Unreserved Candidates.
2. Not more than 30 years for OBC candidates.
3. Not more than 32 years for SC/ST Candidates.
4. For Ex‐servicemen, age relaxation is applicable as prescribed by Govt. of India orders issued from time‐to‐time.
5. Relaxation by 05 (Five) Years for the candidate who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.80 to 31.12.1989 and candidate has to provide the certificate for the same issued by District Magistrate/Block Development Officer/Sub Divisional Officer at the time of document verification.
6. The Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will only be accepted.

AAI Recruitment Eligibility – Academic Qualification

1. Applicants should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized/ deemed university or from an apex Institution (like IIT) recognized by the Government of India.
2. Only candidates with qualifying GATE 2019 Normalized Marks will be eligible to apply for the post of Junior Executives. 
3. The date of declaration of result or issuance of Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination will be considered to be the date of acquiring the qualification.

AAI Recruitment 2020: How to Apply?

Candidates are advised to read the following instructions carefully before applying online:

Step 1 – Online Registration

• Candidates have to register online by visiting the official website. 
• Candidates will be required to enter their name, a valid Email ID, mobile number, GATE Year, Paper, GATE Registration Number, All India Rank (AIR), Score and Marks (out of 100)
• Only after successful registration, a user name and password will be generated and sent to you via email.

Step 2 – Online Application

• Login to fill the online application form.
• Candidates must check all the details filled by him/ her before submitting the application form

Step 3 – Uploading the photograph and signature

• Candidates must upload their signature and photograph as instructed. 

Step 4 – Payment of Fees

Candidates are required to remit the prescribed fee through bank challan and deposit the fee at the nearest SBI branch. Candidates belonging to reserved categories and female candidates are not required to pay any application fee.

AAI Recruitment Document Required​

Validity of Certificates

1. If a candidate belongs to the SC/ ST category then he/ she is required to submit the caste certificate which should be issued by the Competent Authority.
2. OBC Non-Creamy Layer Candidates are required to produce their certificate issued in the current financial year only. 
3. SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ Disability certificate can be in Hindi or English but any variation in the caste name will not be accepted. 
4. PWD candidates requires a valid Disability Certificate issued by the Medical Board duly constituted as per Govt. guidelines.
5. If you belong to the EWS category then you need to produce the Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority

AAI Recruitment 2020 Selection Process

• The candidates will be shortlisted based on the details provided by candidates as per the eligibility criteria.
• Shortlisted candidates (based on GATE 2019 scores) will be called directly for document verification which will be held at Corporate Headquarters at New Delhi.
• If a candidate is working in some Government or Prvita sector then he/ she has to produce the “No Objection Certificate” from the present employer at the time of document verification. 
• Candidates are advised to provide the right Email Id because the call letter for the document verification process will be sent via email. 
• During the document verification candidates have to produce all the documents in original. 
• After the completion of the document verification process, the final selection will be entirely based on GATE scores. 
• If a candidate belonging to the reserved category but selected on the norms of UR category will be treated at par with UR category candidates and his/ her provisionally allotted seat under UR category will not be changed to reserved category. 
• However, the original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged.
• It should be kept in mind that appointment of selected candidates is subject to verification of documents relating to the eligibility criteria, character and antecedents and other documents submitted and are also subject to the candidate meeting the requisite medical standards for the post and other requirements applicable for appointments under the rules of AAI.
• The candidates selected for the post of Junior Executive (Electronics) will have to undergo training approximately for 06 months during which they will be paid basic pay along with other admissible allowances.

Tie-Breaking

• In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth.
• The candidate senior in age is placed before/above the candidate junior in age.

AAI Recruitment Important Instructions

• Applicants are advised to not provide any misinformation in the online application form of AAI. In case, at any stage of the recruitment process, any candidate is found guilty of misrepresenting information or canvassing in any form, the application will be summarily rejected apart from initiating any other course of action deemed fit.
• Candidates should provide their permanent address in the application form in order to avoid any misplacement of communication from AAI in the future.
• It is advisable to complete the application and fee payment process much earlier than the deadline in order to avoid last-minute rush and possible technical glitches.
• All correspondence with candidates will be done through e-mail only and all general information shall be provided through the AAI website. As such, all candidates are advised to visit their email account/AAI website regularly for further updates.
• The decision of AAI in regard to the eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection to the post, etc. as well as modification/restriction of the recruitment process shall be final and binding.
• Candidates recruited for the position of Junior Executives will have to execute a surety bond for an amount of INR 5 lakhs to serve AAI for a period of three years after completion of training.
• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India.
