Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021 online registration process has begun from Dec 19. Candidates planning to take admission in MBBS and BDS courses under state quota seats and under management quota seats can apply till January 7, 2022. 

  • The last date to download the online application is January 10, 2022 up to 5:00 PM. Also, if a candidate is not able to apply online then he/ she can directly visit the Government Medical College with all the original documents. Candidates who have qualified NEET Cut off 2021 criteria are eligible to participate in the counselling process. 
  • As per the reservation policy, the rank list comprises 7.5% of reservations for candidates who have completed their studies from government schools of the state Tamil Nadu. Check NEET 2021 Reservation Criteria

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021: Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates must meet the following basic eligibility criteria for taking part in Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021 process. A tabular representation regarding the eligibility criteria is given. 

  • Candidates who qualified all the final exams from class 6 to class 12 from a school of that state must present some important documents such as birth certificate, graduation certificate, etc at the time of the verification round. 
  • Candidates who have successfully completed their academics from another state other than Tamil Nadu need to present the photocopy of their parents’ certificate.

  • Candidates are required to have an status of Indian citizenship
  • Candidates should hold a domicile status of the state Tamil Nadu. 
  • Age of the candidate should be not less than 17 year as on December, 31, 2021. 
  • On the other hand, candidates belonging to general category must not be more than 25 years in age whereas candidates from reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC should be not more than 30 years in age. 
  • Candidates must qualify their higher secondary level board exam with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Biotechnology and English as the main.
  •  In this exam, candidates from the general category must secure not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. 
  • And candidates belonging to reserved category like SC/ST/OBC need to obtain not less than 40% of marks in total. PWD candidates need to secure 45% of marks.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021: Domicile Criteria

  • Nativity Certificate – Aspirants who have completed their schooling from Class 6 to 12 from the state of Tamil Nadu.
    • Permanent Residency Certificate is not acceptable at the place of Nativity Certificate. 
  • Domicile candidates – Candidates who have partially or fully completed schooling from Class 6 to 12 from outside of the state will have to submit the original certificates of their parent's documents as mentioned below:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Ration Card
    • SSLC/ 10/ 12 Certificate
    • No Graduate Certificate (In case of parents are not literate)
  • Candidates will also have to submit an understanding stating that they are not participating in any other native state for the counselling. 
  • NRI and PIO – Candidates are eligible under Management Quota. 
  • Students from other states – Candidates who are living in Tamil Nadu and have studied Classes 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu, will only be considered for admission under the open category and not the state quota.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021: Application 

The process of the counselling round is as follows. 

  • First of all, all the shortlisted candidates must complete the registration process. After that, candidates need to enter their choices through the online mode. On the basis of their preferences, seats for the verification round will be allotted. 
  • All the candidates need to fill up the online application form by entering all the important details. 
  • Following this, candidates need to send the duly filled online application form along with all the important documents to the address given below.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021 Registration Fee

The counselling fee is non-refundable. In the below table, the fee for TN NEET Counselling 2021 is given.

  • Candidates are allowed to pay the registration fee through both online and offline mode. To pay through the offline mode, candidates need to pay the fee through demand draft in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” payable at Chennai.
  • After the online registration process, candidates should check the rank list that will be available only on the official website. The list will be released based on the score obtained by the candidates.
  • After releasing the merit list, the concerned authority will set and release a counselling schedule for the first round. Based on the rank list, all the shortlisted candidates will be informed. Itb will help to know the date, time and venue for the counselling schedule. To participate in the counselling round, candidates need to download the call letter only from the official website of the institute.

After filling the online application form, candidates will have to download the form before January 10, 2022 and submit the hard copy by post or courier or in-person to the following address.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2021: Important Documents

To participate in the counselling process, candidates need to bring all the important documents at the right place of the counselling session. All the important documents are listed below.

  1. Marksheet of class 10th, 11th and 12th in original and a photocopy with both sides
  2. Transfer certificate of last attended school
  3. Certificate from Class 6 to 12 as a proof
  4. NEET 2021 Admit Card
  5. NEET 2021 Scorecard
  6. Residential certificate for candidates who have studied from Class 6 to 12 outside the state
  7. Parent’s certificate for the candidates who are the domicile of the state
  8. Permanent community certificate (if applicable)
