In the 2017 NEET exam, CBSE had introduced maximum attempts limit number, utmost attempts limit was set to 3 times. Cap on Age Limit had also been introduced according to which only UR candidates below 25 age & reserved candidates below 30 age were allowed to appear for NEET.

    2018No Limit

The cap on the NEET-UG number of attempts was removed. But the NEET attempt limit was then decided to be determined by the upper age limit criterion.

    2019No Limit

NIOS/open school students were considered ineligible to appear for NEET. However, the clause was revoked within that year.

    2020No Limit

The exam was conducted successfully without any limits on NEET attempts.

NEET Attempts and Age Limit Debate

    • In 2017 CBSE had introduced Upper Age Limit Criteria and NEET Attempt Limit criteria.
    • According to this candidates were allowed to appear for NEET only 3 times. So in the 2017 NEET examination, those who had already appeared for the exam 3 times in the previous three years were not allowed.
    • Also, Age Limit had also been introduced according to which only UR candidates below 25 age & reserved candidates below 30 age were allowed to appear for NEET.
    • These decisions of CBSE had been challenged by candidates and were revoked.
    • But in 2018 the age limit criteria had been reintroduced which was again challenged by the candidates and the decision is still pending in the court.
    • For NEET 2023, there is no upper age and attempts limit.

Ans. One of my friends studies there and he once told me that his dream comes true after getting admission to this institute. He mentioned that there are many things, which are actually looking forward by every student.  This institute provides the best clinical posting, Academics, and extracurricular opportunities such as sports and cultural events.  The college administration itself organizes some CDE programs and seminars for the betterment of the students.  In your third year, you will get the opportunity to work with AIIMS Rishikesh for your studies in General Medicine and General Surgery.  My friend has just completed his work experiences in AIIMS, which is really a life-changing knowledge for him considering his future career perspectives.  However, the Dental Schools' lack of exposure is a Myth, but this institute works hard to provide its students world-class services and medical equipment. This institute is on the River Ganges banks, which is very relaxing, and the college environment is very soothing and breathtakingly beautiful. My friend has just finished his 3 years in this college, and he mentioned that this institute provides a homely feeling. Teachers are amiable, kind, and helpful. Thus, if you want to take admission to this institute, go for it. Read more
