    NEET Merit List FAQs

    NEET Merit List 2023 FAQs

Ques. What is the NEET Merit List?

Ans. NEET merit list is a rank list prepared for counselling and admission into medical and dental colleges. NTA prepares the merit list for 15% AIQ seats based on which MCC is carrying out NEET 15% AIQ Counselling. Also, after each round of counselling, the provisional and final NEET Merit list 2022 (seat allotment list) are released containing the names, ranks and colleges allotted to the candidates.

Ques. How are the NEET Merit lists prepared?

Ans. NEET Merit Lists are prepared on the basis of NEET Rank provided by NTA. Candidates can check their ranks from the scorecards. Also, candidates have to apply for the counselling rounds to become eligible for the 15% AIQ NEET admission list.

Ques. Who creates NEET merit list for All India quota seats?

Ans. NTA prepares NEET merit list for All India quota seats on the basis of students’ ranks. A total of 15% of seats comes under AIQ seats for which the counselling is currently being conducted by MCC.

Ques. Will there be a waiting NEET merit list for All India Quota?

Ans. Yes, there will be a waiting list for AIQ. The waiting list for All India Quota seats will be equal to 4 times the merit list. The waiting is generally released after the last round of counselling only if seats are left vacant. Last year to fill the vacant seats in BDS and AYUSH courses the authority had reduced the qualifying NEET cut off criteria.

Ques. How NEET merit list for State quota seats is released?

Ans. Respective state counselling authorities release a separate state merit list based on the candidates’ All India Rank. Candidates who apply for the state counselling can find their names in the merit list if found eligible by the conducting body.

Ques. Who will prepare the NEET merit list for deemed universities?

Ans. NEET Merit List for Deemed universities is prepared to conduct the 15% AIQ NEET Counselling by MCC. Since NEET is a mandatory exam to get admission in any medical college therefore without creating the merit list no college can take admissions.

Ans. One of my friends studies there and he once told me that his dream comes true after getting admission to this institute. He mentioned that there are many things, which are actually looking forward by every student.  This institute provides the best clinical posting, Academics, and extracurricular opportunities such as sports and cultural events.  The college administration itself organizes some CDE programs and seminars for the betterment of the students.  In your third year, you will get the opportunity to work with AIIMS Rishikesh for your studies in General Medicine and General Surgery.  My friend has just completed his work experiences in AIIMS, which is really a life-changing knowledge for him considering his future career perspectives.  However, the Dental Schools' lack of exposure is a Myth, but this institute works hard to provide its students world-class services and medical equipment. This institute is on the River Ganges banks, which is very relaxing, and the college environment is very soothing and breathtakingly beautiful. My friend has just finished his 3 years in this college, and he mentioned that this institute provides a homely feeling. Teachers are amiable, kind, and helpful. Thus, if you want to take admission to this institute, go for it. Read more
