Organic Chemistry is a sub-discipline of chemistry that deals with carbon compounds. NEET Organic Chemistry shares around 34% weightage of the total number of questions. To learn the basics of the subject, candidates must go through the NCERT books thoroughly and NEET Chemistry Syllabus. In NEET 2021 candidates can expect direct questions from Organic Chemistry for which they need to learn the formulas. One of the best tips to learn the formulas is to draw the topic-wise diagrams and memorize them daily.
NEET 2021 is scheduled to be held on August 1, 2021 which means candidates are left with around 1-2 months of preparation. So let's go through the necessary preparation tips to ace the organic chemistry section in NEET.

GOC starts with the basic concepts of inductive effect, hyperconjugation, resonance & electric effect. Given below is a list of relevant topics and most of the questions are asked from these-
Isomerism and Nomenclature seem to be relevant and also form the basis of the Organic Chemistry which will be necessary while learning the conversion of one carbon compound to another while adding or removing some substance. Conversions in Organic Chemistry is the topic from which 3-4 questions always come in NEETs chemistry paper.
IUPAC Nomenclature: This is one of the significant hurdles while preparing Organic Chemistry. Some basic nomenclatures like aromatic rings with substitutes, fused rings & Spirocyclic compounds, oxiranes & oxetanes and functional groups should be prepared well.
IUPAC has developed a Priority System to ease the process of nomenclature. The functional group with the highest priority will be the one which gives its suffix to the name of the molecule. If a ketone is present with the alcohol then suffix “-one” would be used because ketones have higher priority for nomenclature than alcohols.
