Topics to be Focused

Important Topics in NEET 2021 Syllabus

Students should filter those topics which are having the maximum weightage in the examination. The frequent revision of the topic that has the maximum weightage will help to develop a clear understanding. Also, the mock test series will make it precise about which topics are likely to get more coverage. The previous year questions’ analysis can also help in anticipating the question pattern of the upcoming exam. The table below shows some most important topics with the maximum weightage:

Suggestive measures for Quarantine

  • Isolate yourself and leave no room for disturbances.
  • Keep an optimistic view for the quarantine and utilice the maximum time.
  • Take breaks at times and relax your body and mind
  • You can practice meditation in the morning or evening which will improve your concentration.
  • Take proper meal and maintain proper hygiene

In these tough circumstances don’t think that you have got a lot of time to prepare. Always remember that all your other competitors have also got the same amount of time. Whatever you were planning to revise at the last moment add it to the list for this time. Don't leave anything for the 11th hour as this will be the best time to revise and develop more clarity of topics. Be informed, stay focussed and keep revising because that’s the best possible way for this exam.

How to Stay Motivated

How to Stay Motivated During Ongoing Circumstances

It is very necessary to stay focussed and confident before the exams. In the time of crisis in the country the urgent need of the hour for the students is to stay motivated. The optimum utilisation of this lockdown time is very important. Here are some useful tips for the students to remain confident and to follow an approach of inducement:

  • Practice smart strategy for revision: Analyse every single thing that you have done during the period of preparation and assess what actually worked best among all. This will allow you to get an idea of smart work rather than hard work.
  • Prepare a To Do List Daily: Every morning prepare a schedule for the whole day and execute the works according to that schedule. This will be helpful in the proper utilisation of time and you will be dealing with the things in an organised way.

Meditation: Practicing meditation is one of the most successful keys to staying motivated. Devote a particular time slot for meditation everyday. Meditation helps in reducing the stress and it also helps in boosting the confidence.

Difficulty Level of NEET

Understanding the Section-wise Difficuly Level

Along with practising the test series it is necessary to analyse the percentage of questions from different subjects. Over 50% questions are from biology and 25% each from chemistry and physics. This clearly signifies that more attention is required for biology as it covers half of the question paper.

Subject Analysis
Physics

Test takers had rated Physics as the toughest section among the 3 sections after the examination. Direct questions were asked from topics like Energy, Mass, Newtons Laws of Motion. Formula based questions which can be solved directly were also there in the paper.

Chemistry

Chemistry section of NEET was lengthier last year due to which students found this section difficult. Theoretical questions were a little difficult to solve. Overall this section was of moderate diffuclty level and scoring also.

Biology

Last test takers found Biology questions very easy to solve. The maximum number of questions in bilogy were asked directly from the NCERT syllau or books. Howver, some of the questions were tricky.

NEET 2019 Analysis

Subject Analysis
Physics The questions from physics were mostly dynamic and complex. There were static parts but that was very few. The major part of questions was from the mechanics section. The weightage was around 24.4%. The other major topic was modern physics & electronics and optic & thermal physics. The coverage from these parts were 15.6% and 11% respectively.
Chemistry In the chemistry section 55% questions were from class 11 syllabus and 45% were from class 12 syllabus. The inorganic chemistry covered around 38% of the questions and the organic and physical chemistry covered 36% and 25% respectively.
Biology In the biology section 52% of the questions were from class 11 syllabus and 48% were from the class 12 syllabus. The major part of the question was formed by Botany with a weightage of about 65% and the zoology section covered 35% of the questions.

NEET 2018 Analysis

Subject Analysis
Physics In 2018 most of the questions were asked from the section of mechanical properties of solids and fluids. Over 30% of the questions in physics were from the mechanics section and the electrodynamics section covered about 22% of the paper.
Chemistry Organic chemistry was the highest covered section with 28% questions. The physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry covered 17% and 11% of the questions respectively.
Biology  In biology the major part of the questions were from plant reproduction(12%), plant morphology(8%), plant kingdom(10%), animal kingdom(17%), biomolecules(12%) and biotechnology(8%)

NEET 2017 Analysis

Subject  Analysis
Physics The weightage class 11 and 12 syllabus was almost equal in physics section. The paper consisted of 19 questions from mechanics, 5 questions from thermodynamics and kinetic theory, 9 questions from electrodynamics and rest others were from wave optics and modern physics.
Chemistry More than 50% questions were from class 12 syllabus and less weightage was given to the syllabus of class 11. 12 questions were asked each from physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry and 14 questions were from organic chemistry. Also, a few questions were asked from general chemistry.
Biology 52% of the questions were from class 12 syllabus and 48% were from class 11 syllabus. 15 questions were asked from genetics and evolutions, 11 questions were from reproduction, 11 questions were from diversity in the living organisms and 13 questions were from human physiology.
