How to Get Admission to Stanley Medical College, Chennai?

Stanley Medical College is a Government Medical College. It is one of the oldest centers for medical education in the country. Since its inception, the college has cherished the career of many students who became successful doctors and are serving all over the world. Aspiring candidates are offered admission to this college on the basis of the NEET 2021 cut off subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

Stanley Medical College Chennai Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
• Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2021. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years. SC/ST/OBC candidates are offered a relaxation of 5 years.
• Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates passing the H.S.C examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects securing a minimum of 50%. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2021 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

• Candidate having higher marks in Biology in NEET 2021.
• Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2021
• Candidate older in age.

The college has got affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai to grant medical degrees at the graduate and postgraduate level. The college has an annual intake capacity of 250 students for MBBS program. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility and qualification criteria and are on the merit list i.e. who have cleared the NEET 2021 cut off for the college are invited to get admission to the college.
