Goa Medical College, Panaji Admission Process

NEET is the gateway for the admission to MBBS course at Goa Medical College, Panaji. Counselling for NEET (15% All India Quota) is conducted through Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). For going through the counselling process, one has to register on the website of MCC and fill their choices in order of the college they desire.

Candidates clearing the counselling and making their way to the merit list provided by MCC have to reach college on the assigned date and time with the following mentioned documents.

NEET 2021 Counselling

NEET 2021 Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Council Committee. For 15% All India Quota seats, there will be centralised counselling for candidates falling under AI Quota. There will be separate counselling for states participating in NEET for 85% Quota Seats.

Documents Required for NEET 2021 Counselling Process

Applicants are required to carry the following document at the time of the NEET counselling.

  • Birth Certificate.
  • NEET Score Card
  • Two Passport Sizes photograph similar to that affixed on the NEET Application Form.
  • 10th and 12th class Mark sheets.
  • 10th and 12th class Passing Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate (If applicable)
  • PWD Certificate (If applicable)
  • Counselling Letter issued by NEET Authority.

Goa Medical College, Panaji Admission Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Nationality- Candidate should be Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Aadhar Card- Candidate should have Aadhar Card except for the candidates from Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana State.
  • Age Limit-Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2021. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Attempts- Candidates can only attempt the exam only 3 times until they cross the maximum age limit. 
  • Essential Academic Qualification-The candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2 is eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2021 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET.
  • Candidate older in age.
