How to Get Admission in Bangalore Medical College?

Bangalore Medical College is an autonomous Institute under Government of Karnataka. It is one of the best colleges for medical education in the state of Karnataka. NEET 2022 cut off is the only basis to get into BMC, Karnataka. The college offers 250 seats for MBBS aspirants through NEET 2022.

Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore Admission Eligibility Criteria

The college offers quality education to the aspirants who clear NEET 2022 Cut off and fulfils the below mentioned eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2022.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as one of the languages of study and secured a minimum of 50% in PCB group is eligible. For the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2021 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have an equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Physics in NEET.
  • Candidates having lesser number of incorrect responses in NEET.
  • Candidate older in age.

About Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore

Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute was started as a private Medical College in 1955. In 1957, it came under Government of Mysore and got affiliation from Mysore University and then onto the Bangalore University. In the year 1996, the college got affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college offers various programs to study i.e. MBBS, MS, MD, etc. The college is also attached to four major hospitals and is well equipped with all modern facilities.
