NEET 2021 Tamil O6 had a set of 200 questions. The number of questions increased compared to last year. The overall difficulty level of NEET 2021 Tamil O6 was rated easy to moderate. Many schooling education boards (including CBSE) reduced the syllabus of 12th in 2021. The total number of cities and exam centers were also increased by NTA. More than 1.6 million students applied for NEET 2021. Almost 54000 candidates qualified for the exam. Tamil Nadu state has a capacity of admitting 7,825 MBBS students in government colleges. As per the policy, 6,999 seats are reserved under state quota. In addition, Tamil Nadu has a capacity of admitting 1,930 BDS seats.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern and Detailed Paper Analysis

The 200 questions were equally distributed in four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology). Each section comprised 50 questions, carrying a total of 180 marks. Each section was further divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. 35 and 15 questions were carried by Part A and Part B respectively. Only 10 questions were supposed to be attempted from Part B of each section.

  • The Mechanics and Electrostatics and Electricity chapter carried nearly 48% of the total weightage in the Physics section
  • The questions from the Chemistry section were further divided into three sections (Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry). The Inorganic Chemistry section carried a total of 19 questions out of 50.
