NEET 2021 will be conducted offline through pen and paper-based tests. NTA frames the questions for NEET mainly from 3 subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The total number of questions will be 180 out of which 90 questions will cover Biology and Physics and Chemistry will cover 45 questions each.

There are 180 questions in the examination and each question carries 4 marks. For every correct answer 4 marks will be awarded and a penalty will be imposed on the incorrect answer. For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted as a penalty. If any question has not been answered then there will be no penalty on that question.

There are several candidates who suffer language barriers due to lack of proficiency in English/Hindi language. But it is no more a predicament for the students. NEET has provided options for the paper in 10 different regional languages for the students. The papers are available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia and Kannada.
Candidates can select their choice of language while filling the application form.
The language once selected cannot be changed
The candidate will be getting the question paper in the language selected by them
For English and Hindi language the paper will be bilingual
For all the other regional languages also the paper will be bilingual. For example, if a candidate has selected Bengali language the paper will be in Bengali and English.
The choice of languages is subjected to the relevant states only e.g. for Marathi language the center of examination can be in Maharashtra only.
Similarly, Bengali will be available for centers in the state of West Bengal only and Assamese and Odia will be available for centers in the state of Assam and Orissa respectively
Any request for arrangement of paper in regional languages for the centers outside the concerned state shall not be entertained.
Students must be very careful while selecting the language and examination centers as it cannot be changed later.
For English, Hindi and Urdu the center can be anywhere in the country irrespective of the state boundary.

The syllabus for NEET has completely been framed upon the syllabus of class 11 and 12. The theme of the questions are mainly from the NCERT books that are in the curriculum of the intermediate course.

Ans. No. The exam shall be conducted in offline mode as pen and paper based test.
Question: What will be the maximum marks for NEET 2021?
Ans. The question paper for NEET 2021 will be of 720 marks in which Biology will be covering 50% part and Physics and Chemistry will be covering 25% each.
Question: Can I choose the Marathi language with Delhi as an exam center?
Ans. No. The papers in regional/vernacular language are strictly subjected to the concerned state.
Question: When should I start practicing mock test papers?
Ans. You can start solving mock test papers after covering the syllabus once. You will find out the approach and weak areas and then you can parallely move with mock practice and revisions.
Question: Is the syllabus for NEET 2021 changed?
Ans. As of now there are no such notifications from NTA.
Question: Is it necessary to cover NCERT books and syllabus?
Ans. To clear NEET one must read NCERT by heart as it is an inevitable part of preparation. Also, NCERT is the base for all other reference books and sometimes there are questions directly from NCERT books.
