Facts about NEET Ranks and Marks

  • The number of candidates appearing for the NEET exam increases every year. There was an increase of 14.52% of candidates appearing for the NEET exam 2019 compared to the NEET exam 2018.
  • The NEET 2019 exam which was conducted on May 05, 2019, where 15 lakh candidates registered, out of those 15 lakh candidates, only 14 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET 2019 exam.
  • Candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks in NEET to qualify for further admission process.
  • Candidates belonging to the unreserved (UR) category are required to score equivalent to at least 50 percentile and those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40 percentile to be considered for AQI and state counseling process.
  • Out of the 14 lakh candidates, only 7,97,042 candidates qualified for the NEET 2019 exam. The pass percentage was 56.49%
  • The highest marks scored was 701 in 2019 while in 2018, it was 691.
  • The cut-off score of the NEET 2019 exam for candidates belonging to the unreserved category was at the 50th percentile while it was at the 40th percentile for the reserved category.
