NEET 2020 Question Paper contained 180 Questions, divided across 3 sections Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. NEET 2020 was conducted in 11 languages-Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil,Telugu and Urdu. NEET 2020 was the last exam to follow the old exam pattern as the pattern was revised for the 2021 exam. As such, the paper contained 180 questions divided amongst 3 sections (45 Questions each). In contrast, the new NEET Exam Pattern includes 200 Questions divided amongst 4 sections (50 Questions for each section) out of which candidates have to attempt a total of 180 Questions (45 Questions per section)

Soyeb Aftab of Orissa emerged as NEET Topper of 2020 examination by obtaining the maximum marks i.e. 720/720. NEET 2020 vs 2021: Changes in the Exam Pattern

NEET 2020 was the last exam to follow the old exam pattern. The new NEET Exam Pattern was implemented from 2021 and onwards.

  • The new pattern featured 4 distinct sections - Zoology, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, instead of 3 sections of the previous pattern (Physics, Biology, chemistry).
  • The earlier exam pattern had 45 Questions in each section without any division of the section into sub-parts. In comparison, Each section of the new pattern had 50 Questions, and each section was divided into 2 parts - A and B.
  • Part A had 35 Questions, all being mandatory to be attempted. Part B had 15 Questions, out of which 10 were needed to be attempted by the candidates.
  • The duration of the paper (3 hours), the mode of the paper (offline pen and paper-based), and the marking scheme (+4 for correct, -1 for incorrect) remained the same.
