NEET 2019 Question Paper in Hindi was opted by 179000 candidates which made up for 11.8% of the 15.2 Lakh registered candidates of the exam. Around 7.97 Lakh candidates qualified the exam by scoring the relevant NEET Cut off Marks for their respective categories. Around 7.04 lakhs candidates who qualified the exam were from General Category, 63,800 were from OBC-NCL category, 20,000 were from SC category, and 8,500 were from ST category.

Delhi and Haryana had the highest percentage of registered candidates who qualified the exam at 74.9% and 73.4% respectively. NEET 2019 Question Paper Analysis

NEET 2019 was conducted on May 5, 2019. The exam was rescheduled to May 20, 2019 for the candidates of Orrisa due to the relief work going on in the state after the cyclone Fani. Candidates reported the May 5 NEET 2019 Question paper to be average in terms of difficulty. The section-wise NEET Paper Analysis is as follows.

Physics

  • Physics was reported to be the toughest section of the exam.
  • A total of 45 Questions were asked from the Physics section.
  • Mechanics (42.2%) had the highest weightage in the paper followed by Magnetism and Magnetic Effects of Current (15.6%).
  • The numericals from Mechanics were lengthy but mostly straightforward. However, few questions, especially from rotational motion, were quite complex.
  • Heat & Thermodynamics, and Wave & Optics, had the lowest weightage in the paper at 8.9%.

Chemistry

  • The difficulty level of the Chemistry section was reported to be moderate.
  • A total of 45 Questions were asked from the subject.
  • Physical Chemistry (42.2%) had the highest weightage in the paper followed by Inorganic Chemistry (31.1%) and Organic Chemistry (26.7%).

Botany

  • The difficulty level of the Botany questions in the Biology section was reported to be moderate.
  • A total of 48 Questions were framed from Botany in the Biology section.
  • Ecology (18.8%) had the highest weightage, followed by Plant Physiology (16.7%), and Genetics (16.7%)

Zoology

  • The difficulty level of the Zoology questions in the Biology section was reported to be easy.
  • A total of 42 Questions were framed from Zoology in the Biology section.
  • Human Physiology (33.3%) had the highest weightage, followed by Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology(16.7%), and Human Reproduction & Reproductive Health (14.3%)
